Grot Guard versus Orks! Battle made in Kit Bash Heaven! Warhammer 40k in 40m

With (almost) 30 years in the hobby this was my number one favourite game ever. The board looked like a 90s White Dwarf batrep, with a wonderful opponent and honestly the best editing team and modern graphics package. It’s peak Warhammer for me, call me biased I don’t care, thank you @PlayonTabletop you’re the GOAT

The previous Grot Guard episodes have been what inspired me to make my Orktramarines - Orks wearing Ultramarine armor. Now, I'm slowly but surely knocking off more and more of that army, and I can't wait to see how this game goes!

This was such an amazing experience! I couldn't ask for a better opponent and the army is just gorgeous. When I first entered the hobby and was looking at White Dwarf magazines this was the type of game I had always hoped for. Thank you Play On for literally making a dream come true.

I would watch either or these armies fight all day long. They are both awesome. Love the custom jobs. The stompa is amazing and I'm pretty sure that megatrak scrap jet is also awesome, but I can't seem to remember seeing on the battle board. I love the Idea of IG grots, and they are modeled great!

If you have any questions I can do my best to answer them. The basics are: -two stompa bodies built around a plunger - filled with spray foam insulation to ensure no weird holes. - spray foam cut down and covered with green stuff which was pressed with a "armoured plating bassius green stuff stamp". -any remaining weird spots covered with random bits from my bits box. -gondola is made from a battlewagon primarily. -trukk bed attached to the back to elongate, also morkamaut upper torso and arm as well as stompa arm. -sprinkle some bits of dakka jet kit that weren't used and you have yourself a blimp. -final important step. Magnetize captain badrukk to his base as well as make 2 magnet spots to set him into place when he's out mucking about. -optional step: magnetize badrukks sword hand with a steering wheel hand to swap when he is placed in and out of the blimp.

i found this game Warhammer 40k a few years ago randomly during the ending of the lockdown here in California I also watched 2 people play helping the newer player with strategy so they at least had a chance as one of my hobbies is to watch docs and read books on military strategy a few years before where I used to play Magic and dnd and Yugioh before they shutdown during the pandemic and closed their doors anyway fast forward to now I am looking into getting back into the game with 10th now that I have time but I am waiting for the orks codex as to me they are the most fun as they seem to want to party and fight lol but due to my disability issues with my fine motor skills i would not be able to paint my own army and have a hard time moving around the smaller models so i will be playing a pure vehicle list that i intend to name Da fast and Da Furious and found someone who is a maker by trade and has offered to paint the army for me once i pick the colors but thanks for a great game
