So as an American viewing this, I have to ask, what is it about this sketch that makes it funny to the Swedish audience? Because as a native English speaker who lives in the south, this is one of the funniest videos I've ever seen in my life, but I have a feeling it might not be for the same reason.

It's the exaggerated American accents and expressions done in poor English. The whole sketch is also filled to the brim with bad tropes that typical American movies tend to have. We swedes just find all of this funny since we watch a lot of American films and tv shows. I know this comment is five years old but you got your answer at least

Well we Swedes have generally a good understanding of english, and the American english is the one that´s most influential because of movies, tv shows etc. We younger people have also a pretty good grasp of the different accents aswell, and the southern accent (dialect?) is a pretty popular one to make fun of. Nevertheless, I am still impressed by an english parody this well made by Swedish show.
