If you are having trouble getting mods, don't worry, it's not you... it's the game. They made it to where you cant have mods anymore for whatever reason.

It's because they're working on their own modding system, all through the game without having to go through third party websites and using steam instead. Sucks though there were so many good mods. There's still a few that work though.

does this mean from your friends pov it will just show a stock weapon/gear or will it show the same gear without the aesthetics? an example of this is the 105 you shown in the video. if I run that with mods will they see it with the attachments on but in black or just a bare AK?

hey dude, i just started playing GB a few weeks ago, and i wanted to start modding it. In the past, i have played GRB (Ghost Recon Breakpoint) and i have modded it too, and it was a headache sometimes at least. Now, since i dont want to fck this game up, i would just use Vortex. You said in the beggining that you like to be picky with you´re mods, and now im sitting here wondering if i cant use the same amount of mods that i could use if i would just download it manually. Is that true? thanks for your help :D

The FCPC 3.0 mod isn't working for me, the only thing that works is the clean FCPC Also the FDE Urgi mod dont work, is that due to the noveske N4 mod

One way is to delete just the mod file you installed then do a verify game files on Steam and it will replace them

What's the advantage of installing mods manually vs using Vortex ? ty.

With Vortex it is easier to test mods as they are easily removed. With manual it is best if you are CERTAIN you likely won't remove that mod anytime soon

You will have issues with some. Like the ones that require Modern Lancer's blueprint editing tool

@@deliberationroom I just test the BP editor installing the mod through Vortex without any errors so far. But now I can see how Vortex can be an issue when applying mods. I guess it comes down to if you want the mod permanent or not.

Hmm okay, if you click the dots on the top right of the game in Vortex, you will see manually set location. Try that

Got the same issue. Says Vortex need to install an extension to manage Ground Branch and will restart once installed. It never does. Tried to run as admin. No change.

Found how to manually install extension : Left side menu click "extensions" -> at the bottom click "find more" -> look for ground branch -> install extension. Then add the game in "Games" and you should be fine.

So i downloaded unity ftc magnifier and it didnt work out so i uninstalled it and got back in the game and now i cant use magnifer at all how do i fix this?

Ok, so first problem I see is that the mods are not showing in the mod section of the game. Followed your steps to a T; the rifle on the start screen changed, however, does not appear in the mods section of the game? Any ideas? Are there any config files that I need to alter or change to allow the game to be modded first?

@@deliberationroom Hey, thanks for getting back to me. So, the mods are working just fine. However, noticed that they aren't showing in the mods section of the in game menu. Its just blank. I have tested the mods several times and the aesthetic mods are working. Well, all but one. The two tone ak mod doesn't seem to be showing the skin. Thats fine though, not a big deal to me. However, there is one thing that I would really like to work that isn't for night missions. I have this set up where I apply the AN night scope in front of other scopes and it allows crisp clear visual through the sights. Which is kind of a trick I learned years ago when I was playing on a regular basis. Its something you might want to check out, it will change your night missions significantly. ( you notice the scopes are blurry when using nods right?) Well the AN scope in front of whatever scope you want fixes that. Anyway, my point behind all of that is, the canted laser mod you suggested doesn't seem to want to work for me. I apply the canted sight, per mod authors instructions with the MOB sight like the mod author instructed us to do in order to get the mod to work, and it just doesn't seem to work. Anyway, if you have any thoughts let me know. If you want any advice on what I mentioned earlier about the clear night vision scopes let me know. I dont have the game open at the moment, so the name is slightly off on the scope you put on front. Its the only one that starts with AN. Its a big bulky thing. Just throw it on the front of a rifle and pick a 1-8 scope to throw on the back. Make sure nods are off and look through the scope. Perfectly clear night vision through the scope. Anyway, thanks for getting back to me! good talk.

@@deliberationroom so I don’t know if you’ve played the old insurgency or not but you could do the same thing, you could download mods still play all PVP servers but it would only change the look of the characters and guns for you not them. Is that the same thing for ground branch? Or can I not access multiplayer lobbies once I download the mods

Right so from your POV, they will have modded weapons, gear etc. From their POV, you will not have modded gear
