Preserve the water harvesting methods like desilting of lakes and ponds.ensure Preservation of rain water in all residential flats and apartments. The rain water which is wasted is enough for 3 generations

I feel western toilets are the biggest water consuming items, then RO purifiers, people waste a lot of water washing their vehicles and ladies waste a lot washing in front of their houses varanda and road daily. Kaveri water connection in roads don't have proper taps and water leaks are too often common.

being a native bengaluru guy I agree , the scenario what you mentioned is predominantly in the east part of bengaluru such as bellandur HSR BTM etc. Even a native bengaluru folks get heart attack hearing the rental rates that have gone up in such areas. Bengalooru is dependent on Cauvery water. There is a Cauvery water management authority (cwma) which decides on how much water has to flow to tamilnadu for irrigation purpose. This water tribunal forced the Karnataka state government to release water month after month in October, November and other months despite of less rainfall in Karnataka… Karnataka government should not have released the water but released it due to politics. this is one of the main root cause for water crisis not just in Bengalooru but also other neighbouring districts.. CWMA and whoever heads that is directly responsible for this crisis ;

Stop blaming others for your state politicians and bureaucrats mismanagement and tunnel vision while developing Bangalore. Many part of banglore doesn't even have pipe water connection, but government approved the sale of layouts and plots in these areas without thinking about basic needs. What you are seeing in Bengaluru is unsustainable growth, that's the sole reason for this problem. By the way, your real estate builders destroyed 100s of lakes in the past 40 years to build apartments and tech parks without rain water harvesting facilities. And pumped out precious ground water to build underground parking. Change these habits, you won't be in this situation again. And most importantly, kaveri water is shared by Karnataka, Kerala, tamilnadu and puducherry. They all have right to their share. You can't blame them for getting their share of water. There is nothing political about it. Karnataka gets its share of water, tamilnadu gets its share of water, what they do with it, it's their choice. Look inward first, then you will understand, the change has to happen in Bengaluru itself.

How many MNCs have exactly been driven away as per the Bengal Model (no seriously, I'm curious)? Would you be able to speak numbers? At least Bengal model on ground never features people queueing up for water (tapped water connection is albeit still very low in the state, but has received a tremendous boost in recent years thanks to the JalShakti scheme). It's a different ballgame that Bengal administration is poor at marketing itself to MNCs for setting up more shops there, but apart from that - how many MNCs exactly have been "driven away" (in your words) from there? I suppose Karnataka administration has been a champion in inviting MNCs in their state to set up shop, but what has been their strategy to ensure sufficient water and electricity supply to satiate the same? Are you familiar how Bengaluru and other major cities across Karnataka suffer from hours and hours of power cut (let alone the huge rural and semi-urban belts of the state) - something quite unheard of in WB in the recent years? Essar, Iskrameco, Sika, Schneider Electric, LOGOS, Vesuvius, CDE (Asia), Kawasaki Solar are among very few names which have made massive investments in Bengal only in the last few years - and I'm not even bringing the IT Sector here... my question is can you exactly show me the "DRIVING AWAY" with figures/nos./whatever... where is the "DRIVING AWAY" exactly...?

What a comedy it is!!!! Come to my Village you will get free water, free fruits including mango, jackfruit, jamun, guava, pineapple, ber, coconut and many more to eat, almost free of cost organic vegetables to eat, thousand types of pickle, beautiful ponds to spend the dusk. Just 1km away is the banks of pristine Mahanadi where the windy soothing air just relaxes and takes all the stresses all free of cost. The chirping sounds of small birds, the early morning sun rises from the lap of River Mahanadi. The beautiful smell of flowers like gangasiuli, Jasmine, Rajnigandha keeps the surrounding nice and sweet.... all free... There is no traffick, no constant sound of cars honking, no water problem, no problem of electricity, very spacious houses with super spacious gardens, all festivals here are celebrated together and the food is shared among the neighbours. Food is free... What is the point of earning so much of money, where you have to buy everything in a foreign land and pay for the things which are generally sold for free. We maynot be earning in lakhs here, however, even a millionaire can't afford the services what we enjoy here in our little village.😂😂😂😂😂
