GROUND TURKEY OPEN BURRITO RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
1. XL SUPER SOFT FLOUR TORTILLA - BURRITO
2. GROUND TURKEY - 3 - 5 LBS ( FAMILY SIZE )
3. SHREDDED ICEBERG LETTUCE - OR YOUR PREFERENCE
4. MINCED OR CHOPPED GARLIC - 1 -2 TEASPOONS
5. 1 - 2 ROMA TOMATOES - CHOPPED INTO BITE SIZE PIECES
6. GOYA YELLOW SPANISH RICE - 1 BOX
7. TRADITIONAL REFRIED BEANS - 1 - 16 OZ CAN
8. TACO SEASONING - 2 PACKAGES - YOUR PREFERENCE
9. MEXICAN STYLE BLEND SHREDDED CHEESE - AS NEEDED
10. SALSA CON QUESO MEDIUM CHEESE DIP - 1 JAR
11. SOUR CREAM - 1 SMALL CONTAINER - 1 TABLESPOON OR YOUR PREFERENCE
12. TACO SAUCE MILD OR YOUR PREFERENCE
13. NACHOS PICKLED JALAPENO' PEPPERS - 1- 7 OZ CAN
14. SAZON GOYA - ONION & GARLIC - 2 PACKETS
15. ONION POWDER - 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OR TO TASTE
16. CUMIN POWDER - 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OR TO TASTE
17. OREGANO LEAVES - 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OR TO TASTE
18. DRIED OR FRESH PARSLEY FLAKES - 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OR TO TASTE
19. NON - STICK OLIVE " EARL " SPRAY - AS NEEDED
20. VEGETABLE " EARL " - 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OR AS NEEDED
21. WATER - 1 - 2 TABLESPOONS OR AS NEEDED
THE YELLOW RICE
1. USING A POT ON HIGH HEAT
2. ADD 2 CUPS OF WATER TO THE POT & BRING TO A ROLLING BOIL
3. ADD THE RICE TO THE BOILING WATER & STIR
4. ADD 1 - TEASPOON OF THE VEGETABLE " EARL " TO THE POT
5. ADD 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OF THE PARSLEY FLAKES TO THE POT
6. ADD - 1/2 PACKET OF THE SAZON GOYA TO THE POT
7. STIR ALL THE SEASONINGS & COVER THE POT
8. TURN THE HEAT DOWN TO LOW. COOK FOR 15 TO 20 MINUTES
THE REFRIED BEANS
1.USING A SKILLET ON MEDIUM HEAT
2. ADD THE REFRIED BEANS TO THE SKILLET
3. PRESS THE BEANS DOWN UNTIL THEY ARE SMOOTH
4. ADD 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OF THE GARLIC
5. ADD 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OF THE ONION POWDER
6. ADD 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OF THE CUMIN POWDER
7. ADD 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OF THE OREGANO POWDER
8. ADD 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OF THE PARSLEY FLAKES
9. ADD 1/2 PACKET OF THE SAZON GOYA PACKET
10. ADD 1/4 CUP OF WATER TO THE SKILLET
11. MIX ALL THE INGREDIENTS UNTIL WELL COMBINED & THE BEANS ARE SMOOTH
12. COVER THE SKILLET & TURN THE BEANS DOWN TO LOW
THE SALSA CON QUESO
1. POUR THE CHEESE INTO A MICROWAVEABLE BOWL
2. SET ASIDE UNTIL NEEDED.
** THE CHEESE WILL BE HEATED UP FOR A MINUTE OR LESS WHEN PUTTING THE BURRITO TOGETHER **
THE JALAPENO' PEPPERS
1. PLACE THE PEPPERS INTO A SMALL BOWL - SET ASIDE UNTIL NEEDED
THE TOMATOES
1. CAREFULLY CHOP THE TOMATO INTO BITE SIZE PIECES . - SET ASIDE UNTIL NEEDED
THE GROUND TURKEY
1. USING A SKILLET ON MEDIUM HIGH HEAT. ADD 1 - 2 TEASPOONS OF THE VEGETABLE " EARL " TO THE SKILLET
2. ADD THE GROUND TURKEY TO THE SKILLET
3. FOLD THE GROUND TURKEY UNTIL IT'S COOKED & IS NO LONGER PINK IN COLOR
4. ADD 1/2 TO 1 FULL PACKET OF THE TACO SEASONING. IF USING 2 DIFFERENT TACO SEASONINGS. USE AS PER YOUR PREFERENCE
5. ADD MORE TACO SEASONING & STOP PLAYIN' ! - OPTIONAL - THIS IS BASED ON YOUR TASTE PREFERENCE
6. STIR UNTIL WELL BLENDED
7. COVER THE GROUND TURKEY. TURN THE HEAT TO LOW UNTIL NEEDED
THE BURRITO TORTILLA - ( OPTIONAL - THIS IS IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR TORTILLA WARM)
1. USING A SKILLET ON MEDIUM HEAT. SPRAY THE SKILLET WITH THE NON STICK SPRAY
2. ADD THE BURRITO TO THE SKILLET
3. HEAT FOR 1 - 2 MINUTES ON EACH SIDE
4. PLACE THE HEATED BURRITO ON A PLATTER & COVER WITH A KITCHEN TOWEL TO KEEP WARM
TIME 2 BUILD YOUR GROUND TURKEY BURRITO
** PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BUILD YOUR BURRITO TO YOUR PREFERENCE ** ; - )
1. PLACE THE BURRITO ON A PLATE
2. COVER WITH THE REFRIED BEANS
3. ADD THE YELLOW SPANISH RICE
** PLACE THE SALSA CON QUESO IN THE MICROWAVE UP TO 1 MINUTE TO HEAT UP **
4. ADD THE SALSO CON QUESO OVER THE RICE
5. ADD THE SEASONED GROUND TURKEY
6. ADD THE SALSA CON QUESO CHEESE
7. ADD THE MEXICAN SHREDDED CHEESE
8. ADD THE SHREDDED LETTUCE
9. ADD THE TOMATOES
10. ADD THE MEXICAN SHREDDED CHEESE
11. ADD THE JALAPENO' PEPPERS
12. ADD THE SALSA CON QUESO CHEESE
13. ADD THE MILD TACO SAUCE
14. TOP WITH THE SOUR CREAM - YOUR PREFERENCE
15. SPRINKLE WITH THE PARSLEY FLAKES
