I am a woman, and I play games because I find them fun. I’ve loved games from the first time I loaded up Tinkerbell on my Nintendo DS. I could care less if the main character looks like me, as long as they are an enjoyable character and well written. Right now, I love Ghost of Tsushima, but I’m not a samurai. I love Reinhardt from Overwatch, but I am definitely not a sixty-five year German man in a metal suit. I love his cool Grandpa energy. Keep this woman away from video games.

Over all my personal opinion (i might be wrong of course) is that SANE GAMERS don't care about representation and so on either way. They care about good games, good characters, good writing etc. I can give 4 great game examples. Firstly Black Myth: Wukong. i have unfortunately not felt comfortable spending the money for it yet (student and so on) but it looks great and people don't care that like diversity etc is missing since the game is good. Second same thing goes for space marine 2. I have heard so many good things about this game its insane. Apparently the Adeptus Astarte in the game feel SO nice. And again its missing all of the random bullshit, but its just a great game so its doing well. Even if I don't have the game (again same reasons) its still getting me to read and learn about the warhammer 40k universe just in case i end up actually buying it. The game sounds so fun (and admittedly the 40k lore is very amm how should i put it.... i guess interesting works well enough). Third in my opinion the best example. Well maybe is Baldur's gate 3. Last years game of the year. It does have some of the pro woke agenda messaging and I have seen some people not recommend the game for that. (for example in act 2 you meet 2 female characters that are in a relationship.) But again NOBODY CARES. The game is good. All of the characters are good. like the 2 i mentioned before... well neither of them is a "checkbox" character. One is the daughter of one of the major deities and the other one is the daughter of the big bad of act 2. Like yes they have a relationship. But it does not feel forced or a checkmark of "gotta include this too" type situation. And it works fine with the story. So while the game includes woke agenda somewhat. its not forced/showed down your throat. Not to mention that if you want you can as far as I know kill either OR both of them just for fun. Lastly as example here: Concord. I don't think I have to say too much. THOUGH I will admit that I don't think it was ONLY the going woke going broke reason that killed that game. Well that fast anyways. But even still it was a massive reason. Using myself as an example I'm a "bit" bigger guy and as a tekken player i always hated Bob. Jeh he is supposed to be the big fat guy who can still fight. ok so what? His move list was boring as hell so why would I play him. Not to mention the fact that I'm already a bit bigger guy IRL, why on earth would I want to be that ingame as well. I am not saying all of the overweight characters are bad and so on. Only the fact that that specifically wont be the reason WHY I would play a character, and more likely it would be a reason to skip a character like that. So TLDR. Gamers don't care about representation. Only the "modern audiences" care about that.... all 1000 of them. I'm guessing that from the concords active peak player count of 667 on PC. Meanwhile good games sell MILLIONS of copies.

There's an interview of him stating he read Anita's "book", and it completely changed his outlook on life as well as game design. I'm a new developer working on a fighting game, Anita doesn't care about diverse aspects being put into games more naturally. If she cared about introducing certain things more slowly than forcefully than shaming cultures she's clueless about, then she'd probably be more welcome. But she's not, she's returning at very critical time where developers are either losing studios or pushing back against the tactics she's tried to put a stranglehold onto the industry for years now, and the only reason she's doing it is because rent is due. She needs money to keep fueling her operation for her own needs, there are women that play games to have fun with games.

As for Ani Sarkenian, I wasn't super on the internet on paying attention to all this stuff back in the day, but I did see her name thrown around and I think Alpha was like the first real person I saw talking about her and calling her out. As an Anita Sarkeesian fan I'm very happy we hear from her again because I was worried she lost steam after the Gamergate backlash. Ah yes, the start of it all. This woman singlehandedly did more damage to the gaming industry than anyone else ever could and all through Social Justice Warrior shaming tactics. Didn't matter how wrong she was, didn't matter that Gamergate was LITERALLY about not giving people like her power, the gaming industry heard what she was saying and thought there might have been potential dollar signs if they leaned into all the progressive crap. Because at the end of the day, games at a Triple-A level are not dictated by the fans or even the devs. They are dictated by investors. And the moment a bunch of corporate big wigs become convinced that the winning move is to make things as insufferably woke as possible with gameplay elements that no longer focus on gameplay but instead focus on delivering the LORE about these woke characters, it's pretty much over. For the record, we see this all the time. Investors and devs treated ESG and DEI like a popular fad that was never going to lose its steam. They treated it the same way they treated Resident Evil devs after RE4 (OG) thinking "Horror doesn't sell" and "Action horror is where the money is" which directly led to RE5 and RE6 for better or worse, only to then lean back INTO Horror with RE7 after the P.T. Demo came out. Same reason Shooters, MOBAs and Battle Royales all experienced extremely obnoxious "obsession" periods from the industry. Anite Sarkeesian represent the worst element of gaming culture: out of touch narcissists who think they know better than the customer. Seeing she is still involved is like seeing a vampire rising out of its coffin.

why talk about these devils? they have nothing to say and their perspective is clearly is not valuable. they have contributed to the modern entitlement and hostility the mainstream women had towards male culture. the video game industry is doomed, the parts that have the woke and women en mass are already overrun. all you have to do is make a game hostile enough for women to avoid it as a whole... this is done by making games for gamers, making attractive portrayals of women as they were traditionally idealized to be, and actually having stories that don't baby the player and expect the player to actually use their brain to understand the plot or the gameplay. the greatest enemy of women is depth and appeal towards men. edit: seeing devolver digital on that list hurts way more than Ubisoft , devolver digital were creators of some really good games, the fact that they support misandry is depressing.

They're pushing for diversity because they think it's a necessary fix. Like that example, there is nothing wrong with a fruit salad full of strawberries. What if you're like me and you're allergic to watermelon and tangerine? Adding those fruits in will make me sick thus creating more problems than adding them solved. These people don't understand that their short term fix is creating long term problems that will be harder to fix by "adding more diversity".
