Going from the mysterious machine how do I find the red ant hill because I’ve only found the old ant hill?

I was also wrong, if you stand on the machine and take the oak tree as north, the anthill is to the west

So my bf took a bunch of ant eggs and put them in our cold storage hoping it would stop them from hatching. He didn’t tell me. I go into the house and they are red ants EVERYWHERE.
