You can drastically reduce stress lines by setting the on/off temps on the heater closer to each other. I keep my heaters at 1º on/off difference. That has completely eliminated stress lines for me. When I had a 3-4º temp swing I had major stress lines.

Ive been into miniature painting for a couple of years now but this is the first time ive considered printing bigger 1/6 scale models! Ive only ever done 32mm minis so its a little intimidating but it also looks a little easier as you can just airbrush most of the colors on. Maybe ill try it out

Mostly because I’m filming and I can’t be bothered moving into the back to sand over the sink. And if I make a mistake I’d try to suck off the paint with my mouth cos I’m a madman haha

Amazing video my dude! I do have a question for you . Did you print the phoenix bird as a few solid pieces or did you hollow them. The reason why I'm asking. it's because it is clear resin and if you did hollow it will show the internal supports. Please don't give me the dolphin sound 😁

@Groundeffected do you happen to have a good setting for running the GKtwo at 30um with Siraya Tech resin at all? I downloaded their stuff and the only setting I keep getting is the 50um stuff. You should give the Createx metal paints a shot, I got some really awesome finishes and you can run it through an airbrush.

Tune is from epidemic sounds it’s a thing I use for copyright free music. Can’t remember the name as for spray in cold. Makes no difference to me just spray as normal. Maybe warm the can if it’s extra cold.

I have the same struggle. I either get failures or super hard to remove supports that leave me sanding more than painting. I've watched a ton of videos of people doing it, but damn I'm bad at it.

When you paint brush on the montana gold how do you avoid leaving visible brush strokes? Everytime I have tried using a brush with spray can paint it comes out a horrible lumpy mess. Anyways, awesome video and awesome paint job!

Love your videos, but I don't think that's a true gold chrome. It looks more like metallic gold. True gold chrome is supposed to be highly reflective, almost mirror-like. Based on my own testing, the best way I've found to achieve gold chrome is by doing the following: gloss black base coat, mirror chrome paint on top (such as Alcald), then cover it with a transparent yellow/orange. The transparent color will tint the chrome underneath it into the desired color. In this case, spraying transparent yellow over chrome will create a mirror-like gold chrome.

Dude you complain about how cold it is in your shop all the time.. Put a flippin space heater in there already. Im in Washington state and work out of my un-insulated with no heated 3d printer, just a space heater and my garage stays 70 all the time. Get a heater and you wont have to pay $1000 for a printer. My space heater cost me $50, thats a savings of $950

I have a huge house with a full garage I work out of that I keep heated, and my electric bill is never more than $150 a month in winter. Its 37f today I guess that would be 2c to you, I guess your country rips ya guys off for electricty.

We have the highest electric prices for real dude and my back room is basically open it’s got no insulation at all since I don’t own it I don’t really wanna spend a load of money repairing the owners building for him.

@@figuresix this months electric bill was equal to $160 and I only have the front light on and printers I don’t even light up the shop to try save costs. It will cost 10 bucks a day just to light the front of my shop never mind heat it. So heating is not an option that printer paid for itself within the first month literally
