Cape Town township flooded during Covid-19 pandemic

I drive past this area almost daily. It was built on illegally occupied land during lockdown and is in the middle of a natural floodplain that fills with rain every year. This also took place last year. No one instructed these people to build there and they were evicted multiple times, only they rebuilt each time. At some point the lesson needs to be learnt. This is not a disaster. This is just nature not caring about human stupidity. Don't build in a floodplain!!!
