If Malaysia doesn’t win, I really hope Japan goes to the final and Kento wins them their second Thomas Cup title, ten years after their first, where the 20 y/o Momota led the team to victory with an unbeaten run.

To be fair, 10 years ago Momota was not the Japanese team captain, it was Targo who played men’s number 1 single and beat Chen Long.

according to Anders Antonsen's podcast, they were talking about how Naraoka wanted to change his style to more attacking starting last year after the world cup, so good eye!

he was the former world no.1, the highest win-rate player in 2018-2019, but sadly his performance went down after the car accident in 2020. This is his last tournament before he retires:)
