Probally because of Disc size, so they had to sacrifice alot to make It fit on the Gamecube disc

@@astro-naut2567 480p mode has nothing to do with Discsize, it was most likely an oversight by the programmers since barely anyone at the time had the necessary equipment to enjoy 480p. (consumer CRTs didn't output 480p and the component cable was mostly only available through online ordering.

Also in the gamecube version some mingames require you to connect a gba with a copy of rayman 3 to unlock some minigames that are normally unlockable in other versions but the gamecube version has a coop gba + gc minigame that isnt in any other version

Rayman 3 advance its so weird Rayman 2 story with Rayman 1 levels, there is absolutly no Rayman 3 content in it except for rayman's sprite.

Xbox 360 is the best looking version on original hardware but otherwise the best experience is playing the GameCube version with the og controller and HD textures, widescreen hack and ofc higher resolution on Dolphin emulator.
