I like the n64 version because the way it looks and cutscenes didn't transition like the ps1 and had little to no loading screens which is unique for it's time. However I'm going based off the only versions I played so that's why I didn't mention the others.

The comparisons Its even better now, now respecting the original aspect ratio of the old games, keep up the good work. My favorite is the PS1, despite being a demake compared to N64 and Dreamcast with shorter levels and less fireflies, its because the nostalgia.

The version I played when I was younger was the 3DS one, and gotta say it worked phenomenally. The 3D worked so well for the game, and it's not bad looking. But honestly, I think the best version is the Dreamcast one

Had the N64 version. I really just love soundtrack on the N64 more, even if people prefer the presence of more instruments in other versions. I just like how the N64 handled its samples. And yeah, I do prefer Raymonese in Rayman 2. The characters having speaking voices seems just a bit too jarring for me personally.

This is one of the best examples showing how much the Nintendo 64 was superior to Playstation. (It's interesting to note that even the Nintendo DS version is a little better than the PS1 version, especially in frame-rate)

in the game boy color version it was better than the first game, with a better soundtrack, the PlayStation is good but it has jagged graphics, the DS is ok, Nintendo 64 is much better in textures and framerate, in 3ds it's more of the same , but brighter, on dreamcast it has good graphics, on ps2 it has a little dark lighting, on pc it has superior quality.

But the Nintendo 64 usually didn't have voice acting or video scenes due to the cartridge size (unless they were really compressed), so the Playstation had many games with a more cinematic experience, like Resident Evil.

both the N64 and Playstation has it's ups and downs. The N64 had a pitiful storage space, leading to most games not having voice acting, fmv's, and overall storage. Which makes this a bane for RPG's and Story focused games. The playstation on the other hand is a lot weaker leading to smaller level sizes. Also using discs equals more and lengthier loading times. The major three consoles in this gen do have quality exclusives though. So all of them is worth coming back to.

Horrible opinion lmao. The PS1 port is objectively the worst one with it's missing content. The 3ds may have some performance dips, but it looks cleaner and is based on the best version of the game. But I'll admit that the playable 2D Rayman 2 prototype is pretty nice.

I believe it when you say that the N64 was technically more powerful, but I can't think of many N64 games that look any better than their PS1 counterparts. Usually the only advantage the N64 version has is less load times.
