Honestly, your videos just saved me a week's worth of angst. The way we were taught was 100x harder than your logical, and well executed method. Thanks, brother.

Do you not have to use the tip to ground when lifting from the jib? Or is that just for the main boom picks? Thank you for the video

On this crane, When you are picking off the jib you will not have any excess line to deduct. You will not need to use tip to ground to calculate wire rope deduction. The tip to ground number may be useful for planning lifts. Sorry for the delayed response.

Would you be able to tell me the exact written exams I need for my A crane license? I believe it's the core and 4 specialty plus tower

This will probably not be a lot of help. I am not familiar with the requirements for an "A License." Is the "A license" your company's requirement or is it a requirement for a particular state. Also I'm completely ignorant on Tower crane requirements--I've been working on and around cranes for 20 years and have never been on a job with a tower crane (bridge construction)--sorry. For NCCCO certification you need the core (90 multiple choice questions) and at least one specialty (each specialty is 26 questions and 8 of those are load chart questions). I've not done it but I've had friends take the core and 4 specialties all in the same day. I think its better to break them up if you can. Most of the crane operators in bridge construction will have TLL and LBC specialties, some older operators will also test for the LBC.

Looks like you might be working in New York where they have three license classes A, B, C. I've been fortunate and only worked in states where CCO cert was good enough. Here is a link to an article about crane licensing requirements in New York. www.thebalancesmb.com/cranes-new-york-crane-licensing-844703

@LoadChartLab2 жыл бұрын
You have to be more specific there are several "formulas" for finding center of gravity. Try this video it is on my other channel kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqDTc6ewgst_gs0
