I have found letting the fruit fully mature is key especially for citrus. The flavors are (better) very different from store brought citrus. Limes fully yellow, meyer lemon fully orange, pink lemonade no green, more of a pink hue. Moro blood orange to almost purple but will fall off quicker. Pink lemonade when fully ripe, do taste "grapefruity" without the tartness, lol.

That is so true. Massive difference in flavor.

Love the frozen slices idea! In California, Four Winds Growers sells this one. I’ve had good experiences with them.

Yeah I'm always glad to have a stash of sliced lemons in my freezer. Good to hear about Four Winds.

I got one of these this year! Good to know they need a little extra sun. It's currently in a pot but I want to find a good spot in the yard for it. I am in Florida. The restrictions seem to vary, maybe by zip code, but I was able to get one in NE FL. I got mine from Stark Bros.

Great! Good to hear you were able to order it from out of state. I've seen mixed things about that too.

Mine is not variegated but the fruit itself is red in colour on the skin

Yeah, when you cut them open that pink inside is like no other lemon
