Hi Tracy, I'm also 55 (but from the UK) and I recorded my first video, an introduction like yours, yesterday and it will be going live in a few hours time. I completely relate to you not telling your kids and husband - I feel exactly the same and I've decided not to tell them until I've made a success of it because it would be hard for me to deal with the "well you can't make much money from youtube" comments from them! I hope you are successful, you've made a great start :)

I started my channel may 15th. I have 385 subs today!! Ive loved the videos youve done so far! Loved them!! Ill be watching! Btw, i changed my direction. Dont be afraid to make changes!!

We are the same age and there is no way that I’d start a KZbin endeavor, lol. It seems to be that most successful channels aren’t just on KZbin, they are on TikTok, instagram, Facebook, etc. I’ve also noticed that most channels have a schtick, so focus on travel or family life or whatever. I’m all about travel tips myself, that’s what brought me in, but figure out what niche you want to fit into. Don’t burn yourself out by putting out too many videos and making it a grind, too. I’m curious to see how your channel evolves!
