Just a mindset thing don't keep raising expectations on yourself because of one success that will just cause this problem and you will end up doing worse and I longer doing it for the love but to on up yourself and it will fail, have no link or expectation to previous success or failure, simply continue as you have been with care and passion instead of trying hard and you will grow faster, bas videos do food because people can sense the care and compassion, putting pressure on yourself will destroy that and people will sense it, mindset so important

This is literally gold. I couldn't agree more. I've spent the last 5 years building 3 YT channels and the only videos that have been caught by the algorithm and still have success today are videos where I didn't put any production effort at all, didn't care about thumbnail, just recorded and uploaded. It's just awesome 😆

Same here it’s amazing how the most honest videos with the least editing connects with the audience and gets more subs from people that will watch more of your content and those are very valuable people to have as subscribers. Never give up everyone keep making videos.
@reprogrammingmind3 ай бұрын
how much does this gold video literally weigh?
@FreeContentLab3 ай бұрын
@@reprogrammingmind Yes, I certainly understand that. I just looked at your stuff and I'm sure you'd agree with me on most of the arguments if we sat down for a few whiskeys talk. I don't like to go on too much detail in the YT comments section because often YT ban certain words and then delete the whole post. But in fact you had a good point. If someone asked me today whether to even start with YT, even if they had a good idea for content, I'd say "definitely don't start". It's simply unsustainable (both physically and mentally). Seeing less than 3M views on your channel in literally over a decade of uploading to YT confirms exactly the experience I've gained in half that time. I always told myself what it would have been like if I had started in 2008-2012 , but on channels like yours you can see how it would have turned out 😃

Meanwhile Dr. Disrespect, MrBeast, fake pranks, IRL harassers, clickbaiters, fake YT/Tiktok tips - all million sub channels. But I understand that we all live in our own bubble and each YT homepage recommends different content, so I don't judge you opinion.
@OlPossumOutdoors4 ай бұрын
@@FreeContentLab your wrong, your algorithm will never be Mr beast, that's not how it works. You have alot of learning to do. Make 2000 videos, then you will understand your audience will find you. 5 to 7 years is roughly the time you can expect alot of vpv.
@FreeContentLab4 ай бұрын
@@OlPossumOutdoors Yeah, you're right. I created more various channels & content in last decade, so I have to agree here. But what I'm suggesting is that people are so simple-minded that they can't tell if someone is, as you originally stated, "fake" or "real", they simply consume. It doesn't really matter fundamentally how authentic (or rather real) the content is, I would say.

If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. Thanks for your video, they are always informative! However after watching quite some videos on YT about how to gain views and subs, it still amazes me to see these channels getting so much traction. I still feel that a large portion of the success just has to do with the YT algorithm and whether your video/channel will be promoted or not. If I take a look at my own channel, one video does pretty well and then the next one does not seem to get any traction at all. But as you've mentioned, I'll just keep working on it and keep creating and uploading videos, hoping that one day I'll get that little push 😀 Most important, I'm enjoying creating content, and it's always great to read the nice comments some of my viewers post on my channel👍🏼

Also don't let negative comments dissuade you. 12 years ago I had lots of great ideas and fun with making edits to Sopranos tv show, but I got way too much negative feedback and the only two videos people liked were just clips from the show with no edits. So I stopped with Sopranos and ultimately just gave up making anything and found some new thing to pass my free time. That was back then, but now when I look back at those videos there is a new interest in Sopranos, and the community now seem to finally appreciate that I did something different than just upload a clip and feedback is mostly positive. In retrospect, I wish I carried on with my ideas and put out more fun edits.

The more videos you create the better you get at editing, etc. I wasn’t great when I started. However, it’s my passion. Just keep going everyone.

Thank you for this! I just started out last week, and yeah, I KNOW it's uphill to get views and likes and subs, so I am staying positive!

I’ve been here for over 2 years and I’ve only just hit my first 1K subs. I struggle to hit 50-150 views per video usually and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I don’t have any fancy equipment (or space for such) so it’s just me and my phone sat on a broken tripod, but passionate and with a love for what I do! I’ve got a new video going up in a couple hours and it’s so hard as when I’m so passionate about my messages and I finally feel proud of myself, nobody sees them! But I will keep going, I can’t quit on something I love so much ❤

Nolan I like your thought process here, but it's hard to except at times. I know I'm getting better, but some videos just don't do as well as others. I've been on KZbin for 16 months and I just uploaded a video that I really thought would do better out of the gate, but nope. I'm hoping that it gain some traction down the road because I've tweaked the title and thumbnail as much as I can, I'm even running a thumbnail test right now just to help me. I didn't think it was a bad video lol but who know at this stage in the game anymore!

I checked your channel or seems fine, you are in a specialist niche which means you have a smaller audience but a potentially more powerful loyal one, one thing I noticed is that some videos seem localized maybe with local products or items so people will the ir may not be relevant to them also your channel comes across very commerical and monetized, it gives the impression of a business maybe selling stuff and not a channel with just a passionate guy doing woodwork or something, many will see products and store links and think naa I'm going to be sold to, some may say you're are monetizing to soon, perhaps need more how to vids instead of product vids, it came across as a business channel at first glance and that's fine but it will always put some people off the more monetized and commercial it looks try make it less obvious more subtle
