This is what my neighbour was telling me to do. I didnt understand her and cut up the entire stem making many 2-3" pieces. Most with 1 node. I didnt score a thing and i stuck 15 in a small pot till i saw new leaves. I was like WOW this thing is hard to die! I now have many beds with big calaloo!!

What a great video. Thank you for the lesson on Callaloo propagation. It looked as if you spaced your cuttings approximately 12 inches apart. Can you confirm what distance Callaloo plants grow healthiest at? I actually grew some from seed and am unsure how far to thin them apart. But I had a friend come and she wanted some seeds or some cuttings when I do thin them out so I went on youtube to find the spacing information. We cooked our first harvest of Callaloo the other night and have been enjoying the mild and tender Callaloo sabzi nightly! My husband is from India and had brought some Indian Red Amaranth and we have also been harvesting those and enjoying them as well. Yes, if you could respond and let me know what the optimal plant spacing would be that would be great! Thank you again for the great video demonstration!

Both could work well just make sure you have enough space about 12 inches deep and 12 inches wide to accommodate the root system and use good rich soil you should be fine.

Thanks for the helpful video. Subscribed. I was growing kale in a container and some callaloo plants started popping up. One is about a foot tall and the others are a few inches high. Is it safe to transplant the callaloo to a different container at this stage so that they can grow separately or best to leave them alone? The container isn't that big so I'm concerned about the overcrowding. Thanks is advance.
