Hi, and thank you for sharing your faith and information on hair growth. I am 60 years old, and last year, after having shoulder-length hair, my hair started breaking and thinning. The stylist I had been going to for a few years took no interest in what was going on with it. I would get a color rinse with her every four weeks, and I saw a difference in my hair after this one particular time. I called her immediately, told her, and went back in to see what we could do. She washed, rinsed, and styled my hair like she usually did. She didn't offer any treatment. I asked her if she thought I needed one, and she said she had not noticed a change in my hair. I probably should have pushed, but I was devastated and did not know what to do. It wasn't in my head. I had not done my hair in years, and I wasn't sure whether to go back or what. I prayed and asked God to help me figure this out. I stopped going to her and started using all-natural products, drinking water, eating eggs, nuts, and salmon, and I trimmed my hair often because of the thinning. I wish I could post pictures of my hair from December 2023 vs December 2024. My hair looked sick during December 2023, and it took 3 months to return to looking somewhat, unlike straw. I no longer color my hair and have embraced the grey. I suspect it was the product, but I thought the thinning was due to aging. It could have been a change in my body. I don't know. My hair is thicker, not quite the length it was last year, but in another 6 months, it will be. It has not looked this healthy in a while, and I did have a good experience with the stylist I had been going to for a long time. I did not miss every two-week appointment for almost 6 years. I don't know what changed, and I don't want to seem like it was her fault. I was just disappointed in the response and lack of concern. We had a good professional/client relationship, at least, I thought we did. My hair doesn't have to be long, just healthy. Shoulder length is all I can handle. I love yours and your personality. Your spirit and energy are such a breath of fresh air! Everything you said about hair growth is spot on. I am 61 years old and only for the last two years have I really loved my hair. I attribute my hair growth to a lot of prayer, drinking plenty of water daily, taking vitamins and deep conditioning my hair once a week. My husband calls me "Chia" (as in Chia Pet!) because it seems like every time he looks at me, my hair is a little longer! Please pray for me to still be able to make time for me to do my hair regimen as we have a special needs young adult (our only child) who we are raising. You are right in all these points. 1st As u begin to pray, God will direct u. I stick to a regiment and it works. My family is amazed at how quickly my hair grows. Drinking a lot of water and moisturizing is 2nd and 3rd. I like that you found some expensive products to use. Your products should Not cost more than a dollar per ounce. Shampoo less than .50 cents. Stay with the products that work for u. We can waste so much money buying what is new instead of putting money an account that yields high interest for our future. We have to gain wisdom and knowledge of how to handle our money as well as our hair bc your hair can be beautiful and you can be broke. Let's be Godly, Beautiful and Prosperous!! I’m a straight hair natural now but have been natural in total for 10 years. For 5 of those 10 years I wore my hair curly only and did weekly washes. Now that I wear my hair straight I wash every two weeks. I started to hang on to more length this way:)

This is also a question that I have! I tried not using moisture products and oil for a few days but my ends just were so dry and brittle 😢 it made my styles look awful. I thought about maybe just keeping it up in a bun or something until my natural oils could moisturize..if that makes sense lol idk ! Much prayer needed!!

Hey sis! ♥️ This is a great question! Of course there is no correct answer for everyone since our hair is so individually different but I am a straight hair natural, and I've noticed that when I wear it straight, the natural oils help keep it moisturized between washes, which I do every two weeks (it follows faster down the hair strands when straight) However, when my hair is curly, it's a different story-I need to use a moisturizer to maintain hydration. For the most part, I wear my hair straight, and I've found that the way hair retains moisture really depends on whether it's straight or curly. Hope this helps!♥️ Appreciate you watching!

Yes! friend that is exactly what I went through! Sometimes I just rely on my scarf and tie the front down to keep it flat in the front and tuck the back in a loose bun. My hair is growing nicely however i wear a lot of wigs without sticking caps let me tell BIG MISTAKE… i got sooo much breakage and fly aways now all over my hair . So im going to stop wigs and just wear my natural relaxed hair put it in two big braids and call it the day. I wash my hair once a week or twice a week. The Holy Spirit told me that it was indeed wigs that was causing breakage.
