8:00 we started taking iron and the difference in shedding is crazy. I would recommend a blood test if u aren’t sure which vitamin to take!

Also I really appreciate your hair science reminder my ultimate hair goal is butt length but I’ve been at nipple or mid back length for a while and while I have implemented what I would say are my best hair practices yet holding space for that goal to be maybe unattainable is so validating, doesn’t make me wanna stop working towards it ofc but puts things in perspective

how often do you recommend trims? Some ppl say every 4-6 weeks while others say twice a year. Love your videos btw!
@theimanialexia22 сағат бұрын
@@kelliclark253 sry i forgot to mention that in the vid! the standard is every 6-8 but imo its different for everyone, some people require more and some less. i only trim 2-3x a year and do some dusting and minor maintenance in between. how to know if you need a trim: you’re hair is tangling more at the ends, if you see any split ends, your ends feel constantly dry, lacking hair volume or losing your shape, or stagnant growth

I love your videos and look forward to more! Would you suggest going to a salon to help with getting your hair back on track? I know my hair needs help, but I don't have a stylist so I've been trying to watch videos though it may not be the most helpful.
@theimanialexia9 сағат бұрын
absolutely! most hair videos are spoken in a general sense and many of us are not hair professionals 😅 . working alongside a good stylist who prioritizes healthy natural hair would help identify specifically what your hair needs and how to resolve issues

@theimanialexia10 сағат бұрын
@aishax1850 definitely a genuine concern. if you ever take the leap, just be VERY clear with the stylist on what you want. have her just cut little by little and request that she checks in with you before doing more. this always helps me stay in the driver’s seat.

what do you recommend for twa protective styles ? I constantly have to do my hair everyday and I know it may be messing with my length retention since my hands are in it
@theimanialexiaКүн бұрын
back when i had my twa i did twists & twist outs it was kinda just an awkward phase i had to push through but it really helped with my growth. if i wanted some length i would add extensions!
