I used your video when setting up mine wifi today: After i edited Interval Time then APPLY . The wifi disonnected and wifi module ligh is now solid green. I try reset it with a pin for 10 sec but nothing happens. Any ideas what I should do?

Thanks for the info, just to help, does that lives in (PR) do not choose Puerto Rico, my experience was no data, it will route you to the no US server, I change mine with a new registration using United Stated, and with the map locate my spot, that did the trick, got mine working.

Very useful video. Has anyone had experience with an older unit (10yrs old)? I get stuck at the early stages because I cannot get the wifi dongle to go into connecting mode and get the blue light to appear at all. No problem re-setting (6 sec hold), but no blue light, no matter how long I hold the button.

The "add datalogger" option isn't there when I go to that website (I am in the USA). There's nothing between "add plant" and "add optimizer" showing for me. I created a "plant" but can't find anywhere to link it to my dongle. When I try in the app it says it can't connect to the server.

@@Roll2Videos thanks for the quick response! Yeah it is. It's showing up now. I'm guessing their login server was down or something. It looks different than it did a few hours ago and my datalogger is showing up in the system online at least though it isn't logging anything right now and says lost, as least it's further than it was :-)

@@chestnutplanter if you have your plant set as a ground mount it will not work. Maybe that's why it's not logging data.

The update time interval won't stay after saving, if the inverter is turn off or batteries disconnect for a reason it will default back to 5 minutes it also specify (min) can you use decimal numbers such as .02 ?

My installer did the initial WiFi setup for me, so I didn't have the opportunity to update the Interval Time value. Is there any way to do this via the web dashboard, or directly to the inverter through some web interface? Or will I have to go back and put it in hot-spot mode again to get to those settings?

You'll have to go through hot spot mode. Don't worry it's easy. Just push the button and connect via IP address.

Just FYI, It seems that the website interface has been removed in a recent firmware update. You have to configure via the app now.

I'm just trying to install the WiFi dongle. Unfortunately It looks like Growatt now want you to contact them for an 'Installer Code' in order to register your account. Which I will do, but no idea how long it will take to receive it though. It was a good video on the set up though.

Residential or ground mount weren't options. I chose 'User', the other two options were installer or distributer.

It might be but I doubt it. If you are in North America and using the sever-us.growatt.com on the dongle and you vpn has you in North America as well it should work. Are you using sever-us.growatt.com in your web browser?

I believe when it changes to blue it's ready to be connected. If not, try pressing and holding for 30 seconds.

Also if you turn the inverter off over Wi-Fi you have to turn it back on over Wi-Fi the switch won't do anything to turn it back on FYI. that made me freak out one night lol

Btw I contacted the company via WhatsApp, I tried all their solutions but no one worked. I just appreciate their support and assistance. 😂

@@thumbless66 You won't have to redo the wifi settings but you will need to push the button connect the computer through Wi-Fi type in the IP, change the intervals then click apply. it will reconnect to the internet.
