I have two soursops growing in the ground in Orlando Fl 9b zone. They are only two years but have grown ten feet tall already. They are very fast growers. On the internet they say they will die below 40 degrees but my trees survived the 2018 winter which went down to 28 degrees. They lost all of their leaves but within 2 weeks had leaves growing back. the only protection they had was a thick layer of mulch. this year they had about 40 flowers but no fruit yet.

Awesome Soursop, That is very good, mine is only about 3' tall and I usually just bring it in the winter time. I do need to move it higher in container size. I have relatives in Florida where they have gotten it to fruit in containers.

Can you do an update on this tree? I’m growing one right now straying from seed

I think it takes four to five years for a Seedling to produce fruit whereas a grafted tree will produce fruit in a year or two

Hi. Thanks for the video. I couldn't get you clearly on the type of fertiliser you said you always fed your sour sop plant with in the video. Could you please list them out for me once more? Thanks.

He uses fish emulsion, liquid seaweed and rabbit manure compost as the top mulch.

How often did you repot your tree and what container sizes did you use when transplanting until 7g container? Thanks!

How cold does it get in your area and how is it doing?
@gardenofluma96975 жыл бұрын
Pepe's Fruit Trees It gets into the mid to upper 20s on a handful of nights for a few hours. I typically move it indoors on nights in the 30s, but have been a bit lazy the last couple years. It definitely suffers when it gets left out on those nights below 40. It gets a bit beat up through the winter, but never where it’s fully defoliated.

Hello I recently learned soursop is good with inflammation and would love to grow my own. Where could I possibly find soursop seeds? Thank you 🙏🏼

Buy a soursop and get the seeds out of it. You can find them at different markets around the valley

it gets too cold there for soursop

I’ve been growing one here for 4 years. If you put it down n the ground without protecting it, then yes it’s too cold.
