Why worry about clean and clear when people grow in soil?

@@KeepOnGrowin in dwc the roots is submerge in water all the time make them vulnerable to water borne microorganisms, especially in hot tropical climate cyanobacter or similar stuff grow quickly forming clear slime and encapsulate roots preventing them from absorbing nutrients and oxygen. While in soil this never a problem since the roots not submerged. How do you combat this in your system?

oh also just FYI your local grocery store has tons of those 5 gallon bucket if they have a deli or a bakery and maybe ask nicely if they usually give you the bucket I just got about 12 yesterday for free

If you’re running into issues with mold , you may need a little more space in between seeds. Also there is white fuzzy stuff that appears a few days after seeding that looks like mold but is not
