Oh and I realize when you're talking about seasons it's for Australia! I'm in the Northern hemisphere so our seasons are reversed. This plant is actually native to areas where I'm from so for us, his growing season is spring. Now I have it straight for transferring your advice! Thanks for species specific videos.
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK2 жыл бұрын
Autumn is the same all over the world that has four season. Only the months differs. In the Northern hemisphere, your autumn is Sept., Oct. and Nov. Here in the Southern hemisphere where I am...Autumn is March, April and May. So when I say that their growing period is in Autumn; I meant Autumn. At the moment in the Northern hemisphere...if that's where you are...you're season at the moment is at the last month of Spring and you're temperature should be getting warmer as you come into Summer. That means these agavoides, Sedum and Aeonium are just getting into dormancy.
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK2 жыл бұрын
Romeo and Lovely rose are one of the easiest for me to look after. Romeo prefers a more gritty soil and Lovely rose prefers a fast draining rich soil. If you get the soil mix right, it's plant and forget as they almost basically look after themselves.

Hello Liz, I have one agavoides mother plant since Nov 22 now! When I got it it had showed tiny green pup (like the start) and it is the same size even today in April 23! It is tiny like half of a pea size, nothing's changed
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK Жыл бұрын
It depends on what specific type/variety/ID of agavoides you have. Some agavoides grow very slow from a pup and some don't grow babies at all.

Hello Liz, thank you very much, your agavoides re stunning! I have a doubt, if we have an active plant in winter, do this mean that it s better to chop it during winter? The cuts will develope roots easilier than in summer? Thanks! Lol I was worried, hope everything is ok. Huuugs ❤️
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK2 жыл бұрын
If a plant grows in Autumn and Winter, best to cut 2 weeks (end of summer) before the growing season to give the plant a head start. Keep them in bright shady area and the roots will grow faster.

Learned that Agavoides can go dormant on both winter and summer if temperatures are extreme. Over 100° fahrenheit/ 37°C Or under 30°F / -1C. That's why there is confusion on dormancy periods.

I bought the seaweed solution and mixed it following the instructions on the packaging (2-5ml with 1 gallon of water), and the color looks very very light compared to yours. Should I still follow the instructions? And thank you for your soaking method. @GrowingSucculentswithLizK Жыл бұрын
Romeo is the original mutated version of Corderoyi. Romeo rubin is a hybrid of Romeo and unknown echeveria (possibly Ebony). Romeo is pink and rounded leaf compared to romeo rubin which is red tone and pointier leaves. Both deserves to be in a succulent addicts collection.
