Hello Johnny! Hope you’re Doing Well. Anyways, Do you have a video on Echeveria agavoides Cassius? And for caring, is it the same as other agavoides? Thank you so much for your time and patience. Thank you too for all These Beautiful Informative Videos. You have a Beautiful Blessed Day and Stay Safe. 🙏🌷🌺🥀🌹💐🥰
@johnnyAGardeningАй бұрын
Same as other agavoides types. Avoid overhead watering as the upright habit tends to hold water in the foliage. (not good) especially in the winter months. So no water in the crown, otherwise its a tough little plant.

All are lovely! Johnny A, Are you going to sell some of it?
@azboy4god2164 жыл бұрын
@johnny A I just bought my first succulent, and it appears to be a Romeo Ruben. I have a question regarding watering: Should I really only water my Ruben once a month (using the method you showed)?
@johnnyAGardening4 жыл бұрын
Generally yes, however it will depend on the climate, very hot maybe a little more, not much. It also depends on the potting mix, if its free draining, once a month, if its not than less. With the watering method, he idea is to keep the water off the foliage as this creates humidity AND this plant DOES NOT LIKE HUMIDITY .... So you could water the soil with a narrow spouted watering can and keep the foliage dry. James waters the large specimen in the video once a month, and sometimes less. However as I said, it depends on the climate and the potting mix.

Hi I have an echeveria agavoides Bordeaux this was the name when purchased, is this the same as Taurus? Wish I can include a picture here as It is also very red And also another one which says agavoides pink leaf which is more paler than the Bordeaux
@johnnyAGardening3 жыл бұрын
This is a very difficult area, with so many new varieties comng out, most without any identification of the parent plant. Some are seed grown hybrids, others selected forms, so its really hard to tell. You can go on the name supplied, however often these can be confused as well. Most of these are similar to E agavoides Romeo, however sightly different leaf shape and a variation in colouring. Bordeaux is said to be darker in colouring than Romeo, however we have seen a lot of very dark leaf Romeo types. The colors varies greatly depending on amount of sun stress etc. I will have a chat with James Lucas to try and clear this up.
@maritesdevera33103 жыл бұрын
@@johnnyAGardening most likely it’s a type of Romeo then. is there an email address or somewhere I can send the pics over to you so you’ll have a clearer description to ID them?

Best to give them a slow introduction to full sun. So shade for a few weeks, then some morning sun and slowly more sun over a month. If they start looking burnt or shrivelled cut back on the sun.

These excessive purchases from Korea caused price hike in California. Plants that were usually and readily was available and sold for less $10-15 became $500-700.
@johnnyAGardening3 жыл бұрын
Interesting comment, most of these plants sell for under under $30 US in most countries. It is only the very rare hybrids that sell for more and very few for $500.

Like all echeveria you need to watch the water, and some are more sensitive than others, especially from late summer into autumn and winter . Those lower leaves tend to rot rather than dry out and drop off, so fungal problems. Looking at doing a video specifically on watering echeveia soon.r
