My hair is almost 4 feet long. I'm natural & organic-based with my toiletries & cleaning products most of the time (in other words, very conscientious about ingredients) and enjoy as much DIY as possible ... but it doesn't need to be this complicated or expensive.

That’s wonderful your hair is so long! I’ve used organic and natural products most of my life, and recently have been switching to even more basic ingredients and plastic free when possible. This is working great for me and has saved me time and money as well. It’s great everyone can experiment with what works best for them. 🩷🌸

Hi Sarah, I tried switching over to Castile soap for my hair but my hair was in terrible condition. It began falling out frequently and thinning/getting so oily and limp. I’m afraid to switch off of regular shampoos and my hair has grown but when it grows long I get split ends so I have to constantly trim it to or else suffer the consequences. I can’t get my hair to grow past mid back. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

Btw I’ve been struggling with this for 6 years. I don’t know what to do or how to grow my hair long.

Hello! 🩷 I’m so sorry that happened. I’ve never tried Castile soap for my hair, but have tried a shampoo bar that gave me the same reaction you mentioned: hair falling out, etc.😭 I understand not wanting to risk switching off regular shampoo again. Something that might help, while you just stay using the shampoo that is currently working for you, is a good quality oil. That helped my hair a lot: oiling the ends literally everyday and then doing an oil massage on my scalp before shampooing. Organic pumpkin seed oil, jojoba oil, or coconut oil can really help restore the hair and scalp. And they aren’t expensive. I think a small amount is best, so that is doesn’t make the hair all oily and then require extra washing to get out the excess. A little goes a long ways. I just tried batana oil a few weeks ago and have been pleased with it; I’m going to post a video about how it’s working in the upcoming weeks. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions or be helpful. 🤗

@@StarlightSarah2021 Thank you, it’s been a difficult process. My favorite shampoo ever has been renpure so I switched back to that. I will definitely try oiling more frequently and let you know the results. Thank you for the advice.
