That's a success my friend. I need to move my moringa to a sunnier spot in my yard. It really doesn't like where it is now.

Thanks friend! I'm excited to begin using it too. Oh and I picked up some purslane this week too!

Thank you so much for this. I just moved a plant out of a pot. And did not realize I could cut it all the way down. And start over once planted. I'm gonna follow your lead and hope for your Same success. Thank you again for this video

I too have a moringa tree mistake. I'm so glad i saw your video so I know what to expect for roots. My tree, luckily, is in a plastic container that i can cut. My tree is about 7 feet tall and I can't budge the pot. I live in 10b, basically sand for soil. So i'm going to dig around the pot, get that dirt out and get as much dirt around the roots out . Then cut the pot and place it in the hole. I'm going to mix the sand with compost, soil and banana leaves for a boost and hope for the best. Seeing how well your tree did gives me some hope. Thanks for sharing.

I am so glad it was helpful to you. Yes being able to cut away that plastic pot will be really helpful. Happy gardening my friend and thank you for watching and sharing your situation with us too. Please come back and let us know how it goes. My Moringa is continuing to thrive.

Wow, monster root! So jealous of your Silky saw! I've wanted one for a long time! Some day. Really is a success! Love how it's just growing right back. Great job!

Thank you. I decided to make that investment since I can't use my chainsaw or other stuff. So far I'm really happy. I'm getting clips together for testing bit cut down the banana trunk like it was butter!

That root is amazing! Thank you for showing the silky saw - wow! What a great addition to the garden tools to have on hand. The moringa came back quickly and healthy.

Thanks! Yes, the saw is a game changer with my shoulder AND beyond. Amazing how quickly it popped back. So excited to see how it keeps on growing.

When ever I move a plant from one spot to another, I brush the pot soil gently with my hand off the plant into the hole.

Well you certainly taught me a lesson Michelle. When you were sawing the main trunks of the tree so close to the ground I thought there is no way it would resprout again. How wrong I was. If it were me I would have left them the length they were and tied them to some wooden stakes to train them to become straight. Good thinking on your part and a job well done. 👏

That saw looked so much smaller in the package leaning against the tree. I had thought "how is she going to saw that tree with a tiny boy scout utility saw like that" 😂 then you picked it up and it is a much bigger grownup size. Great video.

LOL. Funny I was thinking it looked Mighty tiny in the video too. The blade is about 14 inches long. Amazing what a little perspective and context does huh? Thanks for watching as always.

How is it doing during winter? I am in Maryland state. I want to transfer it to the ground from the pot. I am worried about cold weather.
@michelleinthemeadow Жыл бұрын
Great question. Mine froze but rebounded with minimal protection. We do not typically have frozen ground in the winter. In your area, I would likely build a small fence around it and fill it with hay to protect the roots from freezing.

what did you do with the other tree?

Great question. For bow it's back in the pot. I didn't prune it and it seems to be doing well. Thanks for watching.

Did it survive? It looked like you lost a good part of the tap root from the "cracking" sound.

Surprisingly, yes. It's coming back slowly.

Do you know how hard it would be to transplant/dig up a 10 foot morimga tree?
@michelleinthemeadow3 ай бұрын
I think that would really depend on your soil. The root ball seems to be contained, but it could be quite large. Often, for other types of trees, the roots expand at least to the size of the leaf canopy.

Did your Moringa live after transplanting? I just recently transplanted mine and I’m worried that it might die. I kept in indoors under lights through the winter.
@michelleinthemeadow7 ай бұрын
It did survive the transplant, but unfortunately, a rascal broke it off. 😢

Thank you! Right. I was super surprised. I feel lucky to have the saw. After my shoulder surgery I had to have an alternative to my chain saw. LOL happy gardening.
