Wondering how to grow moringa tree, also known as drum stick, tree of life, horse radish tree, etc?. Wonder no more!, in this video I will give you the secret to grow Moringa. Best thing of all, it's FREE!. I will also show you the special technique we use to propagate this plant at the nursery. Watch the video to find out :).
Moringa (Moringa oleifera) Growing Tips:
Sun: Full sun
Winter: Protect from frost. Cold hardy to high teens.
Growth Structure: Upright growth. It can be pruned to promote lower branching.
Root system: Tap root
Pollination/Flowering: Self-fertile, it flowers early summer. Pods are ready early fall.
Watering: Follow our 50% rule for container plants. In ground, once tree is established, deep water.
Fertilization: Anything works.
Container Growing: Short term only. Due to the tap root system, this tree doesn't do well in a container long term.
Personal Growing Tips: Watch video to find out.

I ask a villager in Malaysia if I can get a seedling to grow Moringa. He told me just a branch is enough. The cut a finger thick branch about a foot long, and told me to stick it onto the ground. Yup it grew into a tree in my backyard in a couple of months and was soon sprouting pods. Its grow fast.

Great information. I live in north Texas 1 mile from the red river near Wichita Falls. It gets so hot here and yet so cold. I have some seeds I am going to try direct in the soil. Your information stopped me from planting in pots like other vegetables. Thank you so much for the TRUTH. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you.

Hehe.. all Filipino knows Moringa tree aka Malunggay 😁. It’s part of our landscape. Food and medicine. It’s a natural antibiotic. I remember when I was young everytime I get a cut my grandmother would scrape the branch outer skin. Squeezed the green juice on my wound to prevent infection 😁

I knew nothing about growing this thing, and it ended up 2 stories high and more than 10feet wide in the branches. Each branch was as thick as 5'' across where I cut them. I've cut it right back about 5 times and each time it grew thicker and taller😅

I've been growing Moringa Trees for over 15 years. I love the Moringa trees. They have so many health benefits. I've found that this tree will grow in just about any soil. The best way to grow themis to put the seeds directly in the ground and you will have an 8 to 9 feet tall tree in one year, as long as it gets direct sunlight.

Good info to grow Moringa! I learned alot! I'm in San Jose, CA and the first year, I grew 100 seedlings in ground and it died in winter as it gets down to 28F. Luckily some had roots so it surprised me and few grew back. It took a few years before the trunk was stable above ground and now it appears to be stable after six years. Now it's at least 15 ft tall so far, but I want volume, not height. I get good leaves, now need wider canopy and growing for drumsticks! I have two plants in pots from 6 years ago and it is still dies back yearly and isw only 1 foot tall max. Thanks!!!

Best video I have found on growing moringa! I am in Arizona and I have a moringa tree that I grew indoors from seed, after many failures. It's 17 inches tall and I was planning to transplant outside when it outgrows this new pot. If I do this in this summer heat, will I have to bring it outdoors a little at a time to get acclimated to the heat, or can it go from 78 degrees right out into the 100+ temperatures and sunlight?

I bought a moringa tree at a flea market in a gallon pot for eight dollars and I planted it, and it sure did grow. once it seem to have died from the cold and yet another time a tree man sawed it off! 😢But it grew back!😅. I have cut it back many times so it’s only about eight or 10 feet tall and three trunks. I’ve use the leaves many times for tea. I am trying to grow a new tree from one of the stocks of the tree and little green things are coming out of it so I’m glad I got more tips here thank you very much.

After root is 1” long, plant the root only in soil with good drainage. Next, prune once 3-4 feet to get more leaves. Good video.

I put my seeds in a plastic container with a top Place seeds on wet paper towel, cover with another wet paper towel. Then Place top of container on. Check and keep paper towel damp. You should see roots growing shortly. Keep covered until you get a good root system Thien plant in damp soil, Keep soil moist. I forgot soak seeds for 2 days before starting the process.

Do you still sell seeds? I clicked link and the site is not there. I'm trying to start some seeds I got a couple years ago and didn't make it through transplant.

Yea, these plants tend to die quick if you damage the tap root. Sold out of seeds but will have plants for sale by april.
