Anastasia, that was a lot of hard work clearing the old fence. I remember when you transplanted the banana suckers, even that was a lot of hard work. With fruit trees you have to think sometimes years ahead because you get your first fruit from them. That all part of the planing of a fruit farm. Stay safe all three of you, love from Mike. ❤❤❤

the heart of the banana(or banana blossom) can be cooked, first remove the skin until the skin turns white, cut it into small pieces and wash it with vinegar and a little salt to remove the bitterness. saute and mix it with a little meat and add coconut milk

Hi Anastasia, Julia and Mother. Happy Solstice Day. Yes, Anastasia, I know all about cold winter mornings and not wanting to get out of bed. Hated them all my life and still do, but you, at least, have the benefit of some Duck Cuddles, to make it worth your while. I could appreciate a few of those, too. Shame I'm not one of your Ducks. ;-) Love and xxx, Russ. UK.

Safe to say that the goats and sheep will eat the tall weeds\grasses while the ducks will go for the bugs and lower parts of the grass\weeds? Will the ducks also eat the roots of the plants? I'm hoping the area won't get over-fertilized but, at the same time, be surprised if it does. What keeps the ducks from being stepped on by the sheep and goats? They know each other so hopefully they look out for each other in their own way.

Congratulations on the paddock expansion - the goats and ducks look happy, and hopefully your trees will be less overrun by plants. Actually what I've heard suggested for large-ish projects such as paddock expansions, etc. is to ask friends and community members to help. Then at some time you could return the favor. It is a great way to build friendships and community.
