Thank you for opening up about your illness. I know it is not easy to talk about it. I also have CFS/ME. I am so sorry to hear that you are in a flare up. I just wanted to tell Julia, that I found great recources on youtube about recovery. Most of my days are ok right now. And it was really bad for a long time. So there is hope. But when you are in the midst of it, it is sooo difficult. I can see it in your art that you know the difficult parts of life. The beauty you are able to creat is so stunning.

But the forest around seems subtropic highland (reminds me souhtern Brasil in Paraná state) and also the walls in your house look thin. Do you have any fireplace there? Greetings from central Europe! PS: regarding the insects, etc, try T-tree oil. It helps at least here in Europe against ticks (vastly infected by Boreliose) and also contra mosquitos. It might help with spides, etc.

In the Ozark Mountains some of the old houses were of board and batten construction. There were no studs or inner walls.The people would paste newspapers to the walls and ceilings to keep out the cold drafts. There is a story about a young man and woman who married and rented one of those houses. There first night in the bed, they heard something in the newspapers overhead. The paper gave way and a copperhead landed in bed with them. They didn't get bitten, but they did spend the rest of the night sitting on the porch. When daylight came, they went looking for another place to live.
