I worked in the onions as a young girl. It was the worst job. Walking bent over and lifting a bunch of onions to cut the tops and sometimes farmers wanted them put in gunnynsacks. Up and down those long rows dragging heavy baskets and gunny sacks all day and I have the scars from accidentally cutting my hands from working or sharpening my knife at 13 year old. Then your hands smelled like onions for weeks. Worst job ever. Thank goodness for new technology.

The onion farm/field workers I know personally in pasco Washington work shifts from 8am to 10pm a day and only get paid overtime if they work over 56hrs a week. Washington is supposed to pay overtime over 40hrs... idk what specific field it is but it's common practice for companies to take advantage of undocumented workers.

Here in Louisiana we use 1015Y and Grano 502 all from Texas...up in Washington state they use Walla Walla. I got a pack from "seedplant". Very inexpensive. Hope this helps
