Thanks for the review! Growing the Red of Florence this summer. I like trying different veggies out in the garden, these looked interesting. One thing I learned about onions, if you want larger bulbs, plant them by themselves. I used to incorporate onions into the rest of my beds. It was great for using green onions, but to get the full potential, they do better alone. Thank You for the video, really looking forward to growing these. Stay Well!!!

I'm trying some Texas grano and these red of Florence onions. I've never grown onions from seed. Last year I planted the green onions from the grocery store because they were wilting and I harvested garnish for my food all summer and fall, yay less waste! They overwintered and are now setting seed I'm going to have so many seeds

I ordered these and wanted to see how they feow. Last year and the year before I grew the Tropeana variety, but i couldn't buy them last time I ordered bcuz they were sold out.. I ordered these instead. I hope the grow well for me too.

I love them and will grow again this year in containers (I think) b/c I really want some non-sloppy French onion soup with those mini ringlets. It might just be because of all the snow we are having right now. They should prep and freeze real easy for next year. Sorry I have never grown the Tropeana (sp) onions before, so I can not give any comparison advice. But these onions are a breeze. I hope you have a great time with them and have a wonderful 2024 gardening season.

@@breninthegarden4984 I have just started harvesting mine in NZ. I grew them in plastic wash basins and they have worked well. They seem to prefer a cooler shadier location to get started. Those in a sunny windy location did not thrive - maybe needed a lot more watering in a shallow container as evaporation was probably high. Thanks for the cooking tips

When planting in those metal containers, I also line the bottom and the sides a few times with cardboard. This gives a bit of a heat barrier, esp. with more delicate plants and flowers. And will help with watering a bit. Thank you for watching and hope you have a great time cooking with your onions! @@cyclingsfatsuma9808
