Thank you for all the super helpful tips! 😃💚 I only have edible plants so I’m thinking about adding black sesame ☺️

I have planted sesame seeds from the hispanic spices rack in my local Save-a-Lot and they germinated well. Can't guarantee that will always be the case but I think they were only about a dollar for a good size bag!

Oh, just heard the part about the storm. btw if you're anywhere metropolitan, many seeds from Asian grocery or Whole foods can be bought by half pound or more and will germinate. Cheap.

Having only ever seen the bunches of leaves in Korean grocery, It looks like some pest or other is feasting on your leaves. Do you know what it is and how I can treat it when I start my plants?

Can you cut the top so it won't grow as tall and will it produce a good yield if we do that?

Go to any grocery store and you will get sesame seeds. That's how I get my lima bean seeds too. LOL

I'd like to grow a Sesame plant , can I go buy a piece of bread with a bunch of sesame seeds on top and sow one of the seeds to have my own sesame plant?

@@votaconunclick8477 You are asking the question of whether one can plant dead seeds that have been cooked. LOL Good try.

Do those seeds germinate? I thought they get processed or something before being dried and packed, like black pepper. Edit: Oh wait, op was a joke comment

@@nunyabiznes33 Go to a good Asian store and buy some fresh sesame seeds. I have tried with success. But the growing season in my region is too short and sesame needs many warm days. Black pepper seeds are processed. Use white pepper seeds instead. They are from the same plant.
