From time to time, good, efficient, farmer- friendly techniques for tillage can be need of the hour ... Some such techniques are: zero-tillage, minimal tillage ( for minimum disturbance to top soil ) .... . for protection from birds, drones, scarecrows &/ or sound of drumbeats / drumming from time to time, as the need may be. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I've noticed in this video that the equipment is at least 3rd owner used, ten years ago. My guess is that there is very little margin available.

@@kellykopsa384 Only ppl who don't actually know what they are doing run new equipment. When you see someone running pre-emissions equipment that is a pretty good indication that they have good sense and probably know what they are doing.

Do you guys understand how much erosion you all are allowing to happen o your fields with all that tillage. Penn State did a study and found that several thousand pounds of top soil ( I can not remember the number. 3,000 seems to be sticking in my head) is washed away on 3% grade. You guys are much steeper than that and there study didn't account for the cultivation.

@@jjcross.echenterprisesllc sure. We farm out of if northeastern PA. Farm about 1700 acres. Next year we will over 2000 acres. We use no-till with cover crops. Run cattle and a few hundred head of sheep. We graze the livestock on the fodder after harvest. Tillage has its place but it’s just so bad for organic life in the soil and so destabilizing. Let’s not even factor in all the fuel that is consumed through tillage. Don’t take my word go too any ag university or go online too places like Ag PHD or Real Agriculture.
