Growing green made me so fascinated about growing plants in general, that I quit doing it for legal reasons and started to grow houseplants with artificial lighting. With all the knowledge I've accumulated, I get genuine monsters out of completely mundane plants like Spathiphyllum) I always question: 1) Why doesn't houseplant community know how to ACTUALLY look after plants. I mean with numbers (PPFD, PPM values and stuff) 2) Why does cannabis growing community grow only weed. It's just...depressing to grow the same plant again and again even if you do it in a million different ways IMHO

As someone who's been vegetable gardening for like 4 years, it's interesting looking at the divide between houseplant and vegetable growers. House plant gardeners take immense care on their plants, almost treating them like humans. Vegetable gardeners are all about efficiency. The correct way to prune tomatoes for maximum yield, what type of fertilizers to use for different plants, i.e leafy greens and vegetables that are really fruit like tomatoes and squash. What variety's to plant for the most yield for their space.

When I was 17 I grew weed in my closet, My dad was (and still is) a stoner, my parents always said once I was 16 they would stop caring if I smoked weed, I remember distinctly the day when I got caught. I bought OG Kush (my favourite strain) and I get this plant for a couple months, it was around September, the plant was already fully grown and I had harvested around half the plant, I got home one day and walked around the house onto our deck to go into the side door, I got inside, went to the basement into our workout room and saw my dad, smoking a huge joint with the plant in between his legs just chilling. He was chill about it but after that we kept the plant in the backyard so the whole family could get buds off of it.
