Back when I worked full time, I used to have a cleaning lady come in Wednesday morning and clean while I was at work. I used to love coming home Wednesday evening to a clean house that I didn't have to do. That was my extravagance for working 2 jobs while being a wife and mother. Rosario did an awesome job. (We always joked about the maid on Will & Grace having the same name, which was on TV at the same time frame.)

how to tell mice and rats apart: rats have bald, scaled tails that run in sectioned rings. The scaling is like that on a bird's legs. Mice have smooth tails, sometimes with a touch of fuzz.

Calico kittys are my favorite. Someone dumped a calico kitty and her kittens off here but i cant catch them. I do put food out and they get water out of the chicken waterer because my chickens are loose on 10 acres. I hope i csn catch them to spay momma and babys. 😊

Try contacting a rescue that does tnr trap neuter return. They'd have some advice on how to catch them & might help with loaning some traps. In the meantime feed them in one spot & try to spend some time around them while they eat. Over time you can try going closer. Hopefully they'll get used to you until you can grab the kittens. If you get the chance just grab them even if you can't get the momma. It will take a few days to settle them down but shouldn't be hard.

Definitely a weird year for breeding! Last year all my does cycled in August. This year they wanted until October. Even the cows are cycling weird. I asked our cow AI tech and he said it's been tricky for sure!
