I grew up with poor white people. My best friend was this aimless, timid white kid. He had no clue what he wanted to do with his life. We both liked jackass and pop punk bands, though. One day i showed him how to do some algebra problems. He took to it like a G, more enthusiastically than anything i’d ever seen him gravitate toward besides video games. Today, he’s a married civil engineer. And i wear leopard man thongs sometimes.
