Grow The Best Zucchinis (Summer Squash) From Seed To Harvest! Zucchini are highly prolific plants, probably some of the most abundant producers in our garden. While some say they practically grow themselves, and that's mostly true, they can benefit from some assistance and guidance on our part to achieve legendary status in our gardens!
In the final part of this 2 part series, join me as I take you through all the steps to planting your Zucchini plants out in the garden now that the warm weather is finally here. We'll talk about planting depth, soil type, spacing, watering, as well as troubleshooting Blossom End Rot and Powdery Mildew. This episode has it all, enjoy!

Gotta say..another excellent video... one thing we do at first sign of powdery mildew is spray with a 40/60 mix of skim milk to water..protein in the milk neutralizes the mold spores...usually one or two sprays does the trick. We use skim milk just cause of fat content...don’t want zukes to put on too much weight...neighbors already get enuff of em from us. Seriously though, the non fat milk prevents any potential issue with fat going rancid (supposedly)...

Right on. Zucchini does take too much space. This year, I am planting in small pots, 2 gallon (maybe 3). Yes, it's too small but I got a bunch for free. So far, we picked some nice zucchini from each pot already. And they do need fun sun, as we got nothing in the ground that is shaded.

Your video was so good (and informative) that I didn’t want to spoil it with my “negative”comment. But that’s how we help each other, right? I was disappointed that you didn’t mention the borer bugs (or whatever they are). I didn’t plant zucchini this year because the last few years I’d get beautiful plants and beautiful zucchini but only 2 or 3 per plant before the plant would practically fall over due to the rotting stem at ground level. I could grab the plant and it would disconnect with the slightest tug. This year, unfortunately, I had beautiful spaghetti squash hanging from trellises, and wouldn’t you guess, they are destroying those plants before the squash is ready to harvest. Need ideas from fellow gardeners….
