Yaaayyy! You literally made a video on garden planning after I requested it!! Wow, my request may not be the reason, but it sure means a lot!!

You are so helpful and appreciate all your knowledge sharing. These videos are especially helpful living in AZ. Most plants do not do well in our heat and it is nice to get confirmation what plants are best having watched and subscribed to your videos before.

Oh yaaay! Im excited for the spring garden season dead ahead. Broccoli and beets and carrots are flourishing in my winter garden. Time to plant up seeds for spring! I wish there were a garden planning guide like yours for Central california, we are weird here.

Hi! I just discovered your channel earlier this year and love it! I garden in Greenlee County, Arizona but travel to the valley often for work. I can sometimes be gone for a week or two at a time so it can be tough when I’m not home to maintain my garden. Any tips for keeping my garden alive and thriving while away for stretches of time is greatly appreciated 😅
@GrowingInTheGarden17 күн бұрын
Drip irrigation / watering grids and mulch are crucial. That can help keep things going while you are away.

Help your mom go to the playlists. She’ll find a few seed starting videos and one about transplants. That way she can see all the different video options.

This year has been tough in Phoenix. Hot summer led to pest problems. The fall took forever to cool down, so plants that would normally thrive were not doing as well and not setting fruit when they should. On the plus side, the warm winter is prolonging fall season and it looks like frost may not be a problem at all this year. Last year I had frosts in November.
@GrowingInTheGarden15 күн бұрын
Agreed. I'm also worried about the lack of rain this winter.

Any tips on how to adapt these plans and dates to a slightly higher desert like Graham County?
@GrowingInTheGarden16 күн бұрын
I wish I did. I need to look into that. My best answer for now is to check with your local extension office and see if they have guidelines for you.
@HonGuan_official13 күн бұрын
In higher desert areas like Graham County, where temperatures and conditions can be extreme, indoor growing could be a great solution. Using a grow tent can help create a controlled environment, allowing you to manage temperature, humidity, and light. Additionally, incorporating ventilation systems like exhaust fans will help regulate air circulation, preventing overheating and moisture buildup. This setup will give your plants the optimal conditions they need to thrive, regardless of the harsh outdoor climate.

I think I missed the window to plant walla walla onions and spanish onion. Is it too late to start seeds indoors and put out in Feb?
@GrowingInTheGarden17 күн бұрын
Probably. If you can find transplants somewhere you could plant those.

@GrowingInTheGarden Thank you. I'm in the high desert and zone 9. I believe you're zone 10. So I can plant mine more like March correct? Am I one month behind you for planting? So when you put your February out that would be what I would prepare to plant in March correct? I love to watch your videos I have just not been able to Plant the same as you and I'm trying to figure out exactly how I could do it. Your videos helped me very much last year in putting in sprinkler system, thank you. Blessings
