Fully on board with what Faith is saying about housework. I feel like anyone who doesn’t agree is a person who has never been a stay at home parent. Believe it or not, it is very hard work. You’re in charge of a child, entertaining them constantly whilst also doing 98% of the household chores. Then to have your partner come home and not help even with a couple of things each day, does take a massive toll on you. Because you’re not going out to work everyday, it doesn’t mean you haven’t worked yourself to the ground trying to be a good parent and partner by organising the house

Ah here's the thing though. Stay at home mothers can have a break if they choose. At any moment. Most men out their working are stuck in one place. All day. Doing the same thing. Again..and again. With a dinner break and maybe the odd cig break. We don't get a cute, smiling baby staring at us making it feel worth it, we don't get a TV on in the background. Life is hard especially as a parent. But ask those stay at home mothers to swap and a guarantee 95% wouldn't. And I guarntee the ones who did would quickly get tired of it.

Simple; Growing up they were applauded by their mothers for doing chores that traditionally women do. Have sociocultural issues, in a sense that men believe they aren’t required to do any service within the household, so considering a chore is seen as self-less and sacrificial to their time, they want to be recognised and appreciated. Whereas with women, it is expected of them to be a self-neglecting care giver, which is why they are less appreciated.

I know both sides from what I see, Ethan we know is a content creator his schedule is all over the place, busy, etc and it is a JOB but also a fun JOB. He is blessed with an opportunity to work something he enjoys and is most likely looks like just fun from the outside but overall still work. Faith we don't know 100% but what I see is she is an at home mom (not easy at all by the way, doesn't look like much ie- cleaning, cooking, etc and don't get started with taking care of Olive lol.) and also has her hobbies ie- horses, animals, now youtube, podcast, etc so she is also putting in a shift. So again I see both sides and ngl it is probably 50/50 work wise, maybe not income wise by a long shot, but to make things work as perfect as can be, someone needs to help out in different areas. These two are awesome and all negative comments are seriously not needed. Enjoy the pod and enjoy the side of these two we can now see :D

Ethan is an outlier, most people who want to guarantee a steady, increasing salary, at least at the minute should get a degree. This is why I think no one should see these content creators as role models - they got really lucky and no one can really replicate their success. Ethan especially got really really lucky to be in the sidemen, but he was at the right place in the right time so props to him. However, had he not been in the Sidemen, he would've been doing any regular job right now as most KZbinrs lose relevancy in a few years. He bascially won the lottery with regard to being in the Sidemen.
