OMG, a nest! I didn't see the bird at first and was wondering who you were talking to. You're such a good person to allow all the creatures to live in your garden.

Thank you so much, Lea, for your concern and support. 🙏🏻 Great idea with the Lithops. I might just do that. The birds are a problem. Have to stay away from that area for the next few weeks to not stress Mommy and Daddy as it turned out. Their taking turns feeding the 4 babies. Have a wonderful day! 🤗😘🥰

I wish I had the room you did for all those plants. There are so beautiful and you remind me of myself with all the colorful flowered plants and allowing the bird to stay in there. I feed the squirrels and the birds here and I'm always helping the baby birds that fall. Or the others that get hurt

Hi Liz, absolutely love your videos! You always give lots of great advice and information. This video was particularly helpful as I have a lot of “fat leaved” echeveria and probably would have lost a lot to rot this summer if not for your advice. I am in Sydney so we have similar weather except for the frost in winter. I would love for you to make a video on watering in summer, especially the summer dormant plants. I always look forward to your new videos ❤

Thank you, Annie. It feels like every year, the suns UV seems to be getting harsher. Plants that weather the 42° Summer a few years ago, is experiencing burning this year. And summer just started as well. Hope you're keeping cool. Have a safe and Merry Christmas to you and your family.🥰

Really beautiful close up this time. Every one is beautiful beautiful I could stare at them all day ☺️ The cluster of lithop are cute. Should leave them like that too 😊 Didn't know there was a bird. Excellent Mama finding the best spot 😂 7:33 Which name has that echeveria on the left? I tried to rescue mine but ended plucking some leaves and gonna see if they start rooting and survive the hot summer 😅 8:39 another question. Is this crassula also dormant or no worries of where I left it? I have two pots of them. One under shade and other under sun. Since summer will also start where I live I don't want mine to get sick. Looks similar but without the reddish. I call it tiny pagodas 😊
@GrowingSucculentswithLizKАй бұрын
7:33 is called Echeveria Bianca. This will grow well in summer if not exposed to full sun. 8:39 is called Crassula capitella ssp thyrsiflora variegated. This is dormant at the moment and grows better in a bright but no direct sunlight area to maintain variegation. Summer cutting that I've taken from this plant struggled to grow but did grow a couple that are now thick and healthy. There is a non variegated version of this plant called 'Red Pagoda" that do really well in full sun. Thanks for watching and have a great day!🥰
@anticlickbaitАй бұрын
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK neat. May I not have the Red one but still cool and captivating. I proceed to not gonna mess with them during the next months 😊 Thanks Liz for the quick responses. Have a great day too!

lovely video with bonus bird. When you say that they are sleeping,do you water them ? any food? ..every video of yours i am in awe of the amount of plants you have..gorgeous. thank you for your information.
@GrowingSucculentswithLizKАй бұрын
Thanks for watching, Cheryl. Watering dormant plants in summer is not necessary unless they show signs of dehydration. No fertilizer as well. With certain species, if kept in a cool environment, they can continue to grow. These plants can be watered when soil dries up. Have a lovely day!🥰

Do you ever sell any of yours? Whenever I'm watching your videos I try to jot down the ones I find beautiful and unusual but most of the time I cannot find them to purchase. I did just buy quite a few from two different places. But you definitely have some rare and beautiful ones who I would love to get a clip from lol
@GrowingSucculentswithLizKАй бұрын
I was selling before but find that it takes up so much time that I haven't got at the moment. Depending on what country you're in as to the availability of the plants. Sometimes, the same plant can have 3 or 4 different names. Although the name helps as a general guide, I now mainly buy plants because of the way they look and not by the name. Thanks for watching Jamie and have a fantastic day.🥰

Hi Liz.hope you are well. When the succulents are‘asleep’ should I cut back on the watering at this time? We got very hot weather coming up. Thanks ahead. 💚🌵Natalie SA.
@GrowingSucculentswithLizKАй бұрын
When the weathers hot, the soil will be hot too. Water + heat = steam that will cook the succulents; especially the ones with fat leaves. The only ones I water are the ones with thin leaves. If you water a tomato plant in summer, the thin leaf succulents that are not dormant will require watering too. I hope that makes sense. Maybe I should do a "Which succulentssss to water in summer."😁 Thanks for watching and goodnight....🥰
@pudik2008Ай бұрын
@ Thank you for your help. Actually I just watered my tomatoes and cucumbers a few hours ago,I thought to myself,how does Liz know I have tomatoes in my garden 😂 I tend to water later on in the evening when it’s cooler. Goodnight good lady. 💚😴😴

So basically you are saying do your propagating and re potting up in Spring and Autumn. BTW it's 35 to 39C all week here.
@GrowingSucculentswithLizKАй бұрын
Yes it is, for succulents that are dormant. There are still plenty of summer growing succulents that need repotting and propagating. So the fun never ends. Always something to do.😁 Thanks for watching, Kerrie and have a lovely evening.🥰
