I bought an electric cement mixer specifically for mixing compost and soil together in my garden thank you for the suggestion of using the mixer for making compost tea. This reseller is either totally irresponsible and illiterate and couldn’t get a decent deal sourcing these materials to make this unit from China or they are Enjoying an extremely high profit margin even after they give away these things to KZbin influencers for free

I don't normally mind spending money on things like this for the garden. I bought the joraform composter for 800.00 after seeing your video on it - and I LOVE IT. I can't wrap my mind around paying 700.00 for this unit when we can do the same for the price of a pump. I don't think I'd be willing to pay more than 200.00 for this size and that would probably be pushing the limit. What am I missing? Why is this so expensive?

You are right when you say compost tea brews best at comfortable temperatures, but, it is also true that when you apply your compost teas to your plants, and it is about a hundred degrees, you shock the bio-life in the tea. I have heard it is best to brew at whatever temperature conditions you will be using the tea at. So, feel free to keep it outside. If it goes anaerobic, which happens sometimes, you will not stink your house up.

@@Pamlg in 2023 they are now $849, the one thing my 20 years in the retail management business taught me is that you don’t make money selling a lot of something for a lower price when you can sell just a few at an outrageous price you save on everything storage shipping the whole shebang it brings your cost down to pennies on the dollar if you can get away charging those prices you only have to sell one or two of them to make the same profit you would’ve made selling hundreds of them at a much lower price. Another thing I learned in the pricing game is some people refuse to pay less because of some kind of status symbol or they think that the quality exponentially increases when they pay exorbitant prices for plastic crap

This is a specialty item and not for everyone but if you are brewing quality tea these are the best. I have had one for years and you can not reproduce the same quality in a bucket with a cheap air stone like everyone states. If you can't justify this setup then don't buy it but that also means you can't afford to drop $200 on a dissolved oxygen tester or a blue lab meter at $300 or even a descent microscope to check your micro activity. All this is not needed for backyard use but if you don't have these things you really don't know anything about what you are brewing or the quality of it and you are just pissing in the wind and guessing. These are good commercial setups for brewing or selling aerated worm teas.

The "best" compost tea depends on what you are wanting to grow. The bacteria to fungi ratio is what is important. If you are growing brassicas, you will want less fungi than bacteria. For row crops you want about an even balance. For bushes, you will want more fungi. For trees you will want a lot more fungi. How do you know what your F:B ratio is? Buy a microscope! (I just put one on order the day before yesterday!)

Cool product but the pump is way too noisy! It sounds as if something is rattling...

please read this book, 'Say it in six', by Ron Hoff. Read it and adapt it, make you content all quality. i dont get any comisssion from this, so borrow it from the library. I enjoy your vids but think you spend way too much time getting to the point....and I tend to fast forward to get to the crux of your presentation. please try it.
