@@adamwiley7887 you can't actually kill the xenomorph, the most you can do is scare it off with fire, and eventually it'll attempt to tough it out and attack you through it, so even the flamethrower and molotovs are only so useful. also, the guns are actually pretty much a trap (if it was by design or not, i'm not sure but my gut says by design). set one off and the xenomorph knows where you are, and it is infinitely times more powerful than any other enemy since it can't be killed

it’s such a frustratingly good feature though. it takes a while to get past the “i’ll wait for it to leave the area, and as soon as i hear it i hide again”, and the game really forces you to exit your comfort zone to progress

I'm late to this I know but... I have to put it out there. 8:04 - You can actually die here. On harder difficulties especially if you're hitting things with the maintenance jack will trigger the Alien to drop. If you do it too early on Nightmare for example, it will drop before the transit car doors are fully open. Normally it'll drop as you're spamming the button to close the door.
