Vanilla and Amber are my absolute favorite notes. Totally enjoyed this one. Side Effects & absolute aphrodisiac leads the pack for me in my grown up vanillas

Love tobacco vanille. I have Un Bois Vanille, but have to be in the mood with the beeswax note - which is strong on my skin. I have Mercedes club black and love that vanilla. Next on my list to purchase are absolute aphrodisiac, nuit et confindences and Ani. Def want to try Angelique noir and SDV.

Your makeup looks so pretty. I agree with you: I don't buy back-up bottles. We are already wasting money buying scented water and alcohol, so buying three or four bottles of the said does not make sense. "Angelique Noire" was a love at first sniff. I don't understand why people think it's so challenging because the vanilla outpowers the green note. I have had my bottle for years, and the green note does fade slightly, so, now, I mostly get the most delicious of vanilla notes.

Apparently Spiritueuse Double Vanille also has a rum note. One of the few vanilla fragrances that I really enjoy.

Nuit et Confidences is beautiful! I highly recommend it. If even that one is beyond your budget: Sol de Janeiro '40 is similar. It's a smokey, woody, dark vanilla. Mind, it is a body mist so it doesn't have a stellar performance.

I love Ani. It smells so good and lasts a long time on my skin and clothes. I also really like the new Kayali. I mixed it with Vanilla Woods last week and I smelled good!

I frequently hate cupcake vanillas, but after testing and buying Bosca Vanilla from Guerlain and Bronze from Granado, I discovered that I’m actually addicted to natural vanillas 🤓 A couple of weeks ago I also tested Cuir Beluga and now I want to buy de whole exclusive Guerlain line

I am one of the people you mention in the beginning - thought I didn't like vanilla. But then I discovered Rehab, Lune Feline, Baby cat, tobacco vanille, AniX, and others 🙂

Out of these, the ones I haven't smelled are Ivory Route, Material, and the Kayali fragrance. I never got the TV/ VF comparisons, they smell nothing alike to my nose. VF is more dark floral than anything.

Great list.I tried with Ani and Material. I actually blind bought Ani and sampled Material but it was something in them that smelled threw me off. I gave them to my son. Love Angelique Noir and SPD. SPD does remind me of Angel Share.

Hi there and thank you for the Vanilla Love! I also love the Guerlain SDB perfume. It reminds me of Angel’s Share by Kilian, but smoother. A bit better rounded and with less bite or spice. I have had my eye on the Gutal fragrance. How is the longevity on it? Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille is AAAAAMAZING! I’ve had it and absolutely loved it. I’m sadly a bit allergic to it .. but oh well. Lastly, I also love Diptyque Eau Duell… it’s really lovely. I love it but I love Niche perfumes in general a lot more than designer. On me it’s just not a very strong fragrance. It wears very close to my skin and longevity is not great on me either. But really soft and comforting fragrance. Thank you again for talking about these 😊

Hey Ayesha. I have Ivory Route in my collection and had a small sample of Absolute Aphrodisiac (AA) some time ago. I didn’t pick you AA because I thought it smelt similar to Ivory Route. But sometimes samples aren’t a true reflection of a fragrance - plus I can’t remember what the dry down of AA was like. Do you think they are too similar to have both in your collection please? 😃😃

Hi! I think they are very different! AA is sweeter, more musky, more sensual. Ivory Route is much more spicy!

I'm one those that that don't like vanilla forward fragrances. The exceptions are those that are boozy and/or spicy. So Spiritueuse Double Vanille, Cuir Béluga and Note Vanille are a few that have made it into my collection. I once heard someone here on KZbin refer to Dama Bianca as a vanilla fragrance. If that's true, then that's another love in my collection.

I think a lot of more natural smelling vanillas sit closer to the skin. If you are looking for more projection & longevity, try layering with oils or lotions.
