"why are they dressed like Nazis?" Because they're basically space Nazis. The prequels are all about Anakin's fall and the emperor's rise to power which mirrors a certain Austrian painter who became a chancellor, then a supreme chancellor under emergency authority based on a false flag that enabled emergency powers. It's very blunt in the prequels, too.

Vader didn't know Leia was Luke's sister. He could only sense that Luke had a sister. Notice he only ever refers to a sister. He didn't tell Luke to tell Leia he was right, he said to tell his sister he was right. He likely learned who the sister was after he reunited with them in the Force, but there is nothing suggesting he knew it was Leia while he was alive.

I've always chalked it up to the fact that Luke and Leia felt a... bond between them. Being twins and both force sensitive, they felt a strong connection that just made sense when they realized how they were really connected. Yeah, the kissing in hindsight is weird, but they didn't know. Now that they do, their sibling love grows and yeah, no more mouth kisses... lol

The scream you hear when that guy falls onto the Sarlacc Pit is called a "Wilhelm Scream". I was 3 when this movie hit theaters in 1983. It was the first movie I ever saw. So I have literally always been a fan. Leia in the slave bikini definitely influenced my tastes as I grew up. No, Luke and Leia being siblings was not part of the original plan. Nor was Vader being their father. Originally, Lucas had 3 Jedi from the past as part of the lore, Obi-wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. He was a couple of drafts into Empire Strikes Back before he had the idea that Vader and Anakin were one and the same. Lucas did always plan for Luke to have a sister, but she was intended to be a separate character until writing this movie, and Lucas realized he did not have enough time to cover all of the story beats, and introduce a new sister character, so Leia, as the only major female character, got the job.

Regarding the Death Star being made to look incomplete: I mean the overall structure was incomplete, hence why they were able to fly in and blow up the reactor core, but yeah the plan was to fool the Rebels into assuming that the superlaser was also incomplete. IIRC, the original idea was that if they'd finished building this one, then it wouldn't have had any vents large enough for even Luke to fire anything down them. The writers may have leaned in a different direction after Rogue One, though.

No, Leia's abs are not photoshopped. I grew up with the original and she was that fit. As far as your understanding of Leia as both a baddie and a general and a fighter, people who already knew about her and about Ellen Ripley from the Alien film franchise were the ones giving Jennifer Lawrence and that chick who played Captain Marvel so much grief about their claims to be the first female action heroes. Leia was doing better and more effectively back in 1977, Ripley since 1979.

In 1990 Tremors came out, and in 1997 George Lucas released the 'special edition' that you're watching in which all those extra details (the mouth/beak etc) were cgi-added to the sarlac pit. He added that really annoying extended Sy Snootles Band skit in Jabba's palace too. The was no CGI, as we know it now, in the proper original Star Wars Trilogy - only in these speical editions. But there were gazillions of awesome special effects in them when they were released in 1977, 1980, and 1983 anyway. Awesome films. Cool to see you loving the addition of Hayden at the end.

Oh look, the black guy didn't die 😜 Leia's force awakening actually happened at the end of episode 5, when she and luke communicated with each other, but it was played off as just luke doing it. People with the force, especially ones that are naturally gifted (like the skywalkers) tend to show traits of latent force abilities, usually small things like being a really good shot or having good reflexes and instincts. It doesn't mean everyone with good instincts and good aim is force sensitive (han isn't), but rather that people with the force tend to be naturalsm. That's why princess leia is as good a shot as soldiers and bounty hunters despite growing up as a diplomat in luxury - just like how luke is a god-tier shot despite being a moisture farmer.
