I’m so in awe to see how far Mayra and Bryan have come. I remember watching their first video coming back to KZbin, my heart was completely broken. Three years later I admire so much how they’re learning to cope with grief, coexist if you will. I’m so sorry about bryancito, but I know from heaven, he’s so happy to see his mommy and daddy smiling, with his big brother, remembering him 🩷

We all get together make food and release balloons, lanterns etc. Have a cake with his birthday numbers, we sing happy birthday to him and let the little ones blow the candles. ‼️PSA KARINA‼️Be careful getting the IUD immediately after birth the uterus contracts little by little to return to its original size and can cause the IUD to move out of place! This was the case with my mom after she had me they inserted the IUD and months later she literally felt something weird and pokey one day and she checked and had to put the IUD out because it had slipped out and she then got pregnant soon after (lack of taking precautions of course)

About parenting… I feel exactly the same as Karina.. I do gentle parenting but not to an extent in which I have no authority over my children. It is very important to have your kid respect you and know there are consequences.
@Jessdel-094 ай бұрын
Mayra, you hit the nail in the coffin regarding gentle parenting! You’re so right. Redirecting helps when they are young and when you’re with them 24/7 but what happens when they go out in the real world. As much as we want to believe everyone will have the same patience and understanding as we do with our own kids; that’s not the reality of it. Which is why we live in a world where a lot of kids have mental health or anxiety issues. I know it’s hard but you also have to prepare your kids for the real world. It is hard just remember we are preparing them to be able to explore the world on their own. I’m not saying to spank your kids either pero pues like you said our parents did that to us and we turned out fine 😂

I have horrific trauma from being hit on the legs with a belt by my dad as a kid i don’t agree with doing anything like that to your child because of what I went thru and at that time I wasn’t diagnosed with autism yet so my dad did that and severally traumatized me for life by doing that to me, also spanking or hitting your kids w a belt won’t change anything or help anything w the child, could traumatize them like it did to me

Ok girls, the copper iud is literally the best decision I ever made. I’ve had it for about four years now it’s definitely effective. Everyone has different side effects but I think the only one that I had was heavier periods, but that was for the first three months after those 3m Ig got back to normal and I actually think it made my periods lighter. It’s the best decision I ever made because of no hormones. I had hormone problems too when I tried other birth control methods, but I would never go back to any other birth control so hope you try it out and I think that you guys will definitely love it. Love you both ❤❤

The part you talked about the gentle parenting.. damn made me think of some things in a way.. like I’ve never hit my kids but I realize with the time out you’re right.. but I think it was started so we’d be calm and not yell at them or do worse.. but now or even when I’ve taken classes that that’s when they need us most.. like to show them they’re loved and they can say what they need to say.. but idk it made me cry because I’ve realized I’m not always patient. 😭

58:12 as adults we should redirect ourselves as well. For example, you’re having a heated argument and instead of walking away (as a child you used time out) or screaming to get your point across (as a child your parent didn’t attend your needs left you crying) the way as an adult you will redirect yourself if by 1. Breathing to calm down 2. Gather your thoughts 3. Communicate and say “you know what I can’t continue to have this conversation I need a minute” it all starts when we are developing and it is crucial to teach our kids these skills. Another things is spanking. In our culture our parents spanked us and we didn’t even understand why sometimes cause we are too small so we grow up thinking that violence is the answer so we tend to go towards physical violence because it’s what we are taught then as parents we get a call that they hit a kid in daycare and you tell them “no don’t do that it’s not good” well they see you do it so now they’re confused.
