@@icon9848 No, it's OK, I was just thinking how Observers are pretty enigmatic to Deciders and sometimes we don't understand them and downplay their personal struggles. This interview clarifed some things for me and I guess just by understanding Dave I like him even more. I'm an ESTJ )

Oh also, DOAD’s answer to your question about IP’s being the worst was so perfect! It restored hope that someday I might not be the worst haha. But he’s so right, I’d never thought of it that way. My ESTJ ex considered himself pretty hot stuff. No interest in self development at all. His mom always told him he was born perfect and he believed it. He was popular and had a lot friends when younger, but as they/we grew and developed (and he didn’t) it’s like this cavern grew between us and eventually the relationships dissolved. I kind of feel bad for him now, but I’m sure he’s in the middle of his own process. But yeah, you can only go up from the bottom and down from the top.

I definitely hit my third life crisis from 31-34. I would say I am kind of crawling out of it now. I do not feel like there has been as much growth as there was in my 25 year old crisis, but we'll see how it goes.

For the Fi selfish part, I used to be that selfishness sh*t when I’m young… but when I’m get older and traveling a lot see so many things in the world I got more balance Fi and Fe, not going to be a ppl pleaser but understanding ppl more and accepting them more too.

I like to add something to Daves question to Dave about IPs. As a fellow IP myself I love us fellow IPs . Here are my reasons. Who is making driverless cars and sending us to the moon (literally and figuratively (crypto joke))? Elon Musk an IP. Who are the key designers of things like fancy smartphones, robots, and other big tech? (Ti saviors) The programming, design, software, hardware etc are done by engineers. Ti saviors were probably a big part in the development of the covid vaccine as well due to the nature of deep diving into a subject. I do agree with you that we are the most selfish but in return we tend to excel the most because we take the most. In return the tribe benefits from IPs because we show them how to progress forward in many areas of life. We also make great entertainers as well because alot of athletes are IPs. I could go on and on but I think its clear as day that IPs are super awesome.

I can understand the I_Ps they're too independant inCore when moving outside there's some irrational fear of loosing Idenity and stuff ...+ But for E_Js is somewhat hard for me to get it , they feel attached to people but why it's considered as powerful ? (I_Ps work so much about themselves, it is not better than seeing what others are doing -"__"-)??.

That was terrible advice about how to deal with high Fi if you're high Fe. Basically, high Fi is judging whether you've thought through the emotional flurry that the tribe is going on about, it's spent a long time thinking about whether it makes sense or it's just some tribe bullshit. So an example of a triggering high Fe sweeping statement might be something like, "women are queens"... Fi users who have analysed that statement in its entirety know that is only true for some cases, that women aren't all queens and don't all deserve to be treated as such. There are many aspects of Fe that are triggering, for example, just going with whatever the majority wants even if it is the worst idea ever and totally doesn't make sense or work, this kind of thing triggers Te users. Then the third obvious aspect is not having authenticity which is related to the others, for an Fi user, often we want people's real feelings to be the same as the expressed feelings, otherwise we deem you as fake. Authenticity can also be about coherence, i.e. are you true to what you stand for? Do you one moment insult the boss and then kiss his ass the next moment? Fi users hate that crap.

@@daveofallpeople 1:32:40, admittedly Dave says "that's a random Te bad idea" "and if it doesn't work I don't even remember saying it", as in, his intuition knows he's wrong, but he oversteps it with his feeling like he has to give a Te response because that is in line with his role in the moment as an expert. He tries to excuse his ideas to avoid responsibility over the affirmations he hasn't slept on.
