I relate to this consume issue. My consume is weird. Sitting down to read isn’t efficient, so I do chores and constantly listen to audiobooks- like 2-3 per week. I want the understanding and wisdom from the material but I’m consuming way too fast. A 2020 goal for me, is to slow down, take notes, and assimilate.

Miserable Cow yeah 2020 my eyes are opening up, taking a real strong look at my habits. I was listening to near 2-4 audiobooks a week, just gathering as much data as I could. It never occurred to me that the amount of information I consume is just overwhelming, and I’m not assimilating anything, just consuming more and more.

As yet not up with their system definitions... so much new information, not enough time, brain space fights expansion... what more can I dump, lol... but I do try. His typing system is a bit different. It's not based on "are you acting like an Extrovert" but based on relative imbalances. He's relatively calm about Self/Tribe (or Values/Reason) but imbalanced about gather/organize. Based on his system he is IxxJ. But I do agree about the way he talks. Maybe it's because we are seeing Te.

Totally my language (Introverted Intuition). Listening to his analogies and metaphors are fucking music to my ears after a long day of SE-ing. I am on one hand thinking of Ni-Fi type which I got last week. I inquired to a lot of people closed to me if I lean on Te or Fi, and they told me, “you are more controlling and pushy than being selfish leaving people behind.” Is it possible that you can be a jumper on the 1st and 3rd but can easily go to 2nd function (MBTI regular BS type) and be dominant on using it?

I wish he would jump. Going from his 'Objective Personality' videos, Dave is either a self-hating INTJ or a self-labeling poser who just wants to bash them all day long. He shows great disdain for--and poor understanding of--introverted intuition. Whenever he talks about INTJs it's always as this gaggle of own-goal-scoring fuckups with no understanding of reality. Now, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt when he talks about himself like this, but he never acknowledges the strengths of Ni. Sometimes Shan has even had to step in and point it out to him. The fact is that often you simply don't have a real grasp of an idea until you understand the principles, the themes or the spirit behind it. Self-hate your type all you want, but portray it accurately if you really want to help people understand who they are and why.

I’m going to try to be respectful here. I think Dave is a smart guy, but this system seems unnecessary complicated to me. Mbti is simpler and easier to apply. If you want to explain differences between people of the same type you can use enneagram. This entire jumper thing seems like mental gymnastics that renders the entire typing thing useless. If you say someone is type X, but doesn’t act like type X… then the entire thing is pointless. Also, I think his inability to type Elliot Rogers comes from the fact that mbti is probably not meant to type people that are mentally sick.
