We feed Grub Terra also. The Chickens turn inside out over them. They can't eat them fast enough. I get an 80 once bag.

How many times you feed bsf to your chicks ? At what age you start to feed bsf ?

We feed them black soldier flies once a day. It's good to start feeding them at about 15 weeks old, just before they start laying eggs.

In this video I used the Canon m50 camera with the Deity V-Mic D3 Pro and the tripod is a 72 inch cheap off brand tripod.

Alright Pete, I'm gonna take your advice and give them a try. I ordered a 5 pounder using your code. Look forward to more videos. I'm in the same biz you used to be in and I still work on the shiip channel down here east of Houston but I finally got a 12 acre homestead in the Huffman area. Keep the good content rolling so I can try to keep up! A garden is the next project...wish me and the wife good luck!

Biochar for animals. The production and application of biochar has become increasingly popular in the past 10 years. Biochar has similar characteristics to charcoal and activated charcoal: they are all pyrogenic carbonaceous matter derived from organic carbon-rich materials and produced by pyrolysis. Studies related to the incorporation of biochar in animal feed are limited. This review summarizes major studies related to the use of biochar as a feed additive for ruminants (cattle and goats), pigs, poultry (chickens and ducks) and fish. Documented positive responses to biochar supplementation include improved growth performance, blood profiles, egg yield, ability to resist pathogens including gut pathogenic bacteria and a reduction of methane production by ruminant animals. In addition, the high sorption capacity of biochar efficiently aids the removal of pollutants and toxins from animals’ bodies as well as from farm environments. It is expected that there will be increasing use of biochar in animal farming. The potential use of biochar in the medical and human health sectors should also be explored.

Biochar seems like a grift. If you look into lead contaminated land you'll realize many live on dangerous soil where producing things like biochar could increase heavy-metal concentrations at the soil-surface. If Biochar worked then large scale operations would have it in their profit-producing-programs. I was also around when biochar was some sort of ancient Amazonian secret to farming 2k years ago... it's a farce.

@@charlescoker7752 What/who is your favorite biochar YT educator? Maybe my YT education isn't feeding me the same details. All I'd really stress is don't make your own biochar b/c it can produce higher than necessary concentrations of heavy-metals. Our gas, paint, potable water pipes... all had lead in them not too long ago.
