This game is so iconic. It's what got me into pc gaming as a kid., It captured everything i could have ever dreamed of. Freaking legendary classic right here! The artwork in the book that came with the game was amazing! I can still vividly remember reading it and being amazed while the slow CD install was taking place. What an experience!

I'll be honest I wasnt born when warcraft 1-3 was released but I love the series to bits. The games gave me countless memories over the years and in a way helped make me who I am. The lore was amazing and every bit was memorable, the game itself was an amazing experience that continues to bring me enjoyment and an escape from all my problems even today. I cant fully express what these games mean to me. Warcraft will always have a special place in my heart.

ivu I was going to say the same about Diablo Immortal. Tbh, I played D3 on the PS3 and thought it was good. It definitely didn’t feel broken. I haven’t played Overwatch or HotS, but they have good reviews so I have faith I’m not being lied to in that regard. Reason I don’t care for Immortal is because micro-transactions and its actually just a Tencent game, not one of blizzard’s own products. I mean, I feel like HotS is supposed to be like Blizzard’s Smash Bros., which I think is an awesome idea. I haven’t played overwatch because I don’t like PvP nor online-only games. I prefer co-op or single player.

Soon as I got the email notification these were released with that awesome cheap price, I went, bought the bundle immediately and started playing right away. Brought me back to my oldschool gaming days as a punk kid who loved the entire style of Warcraft. So glad GoG teamed up with Blizzard to release these gems.

I just finished all 4 campaigns last week. Play with full "game speed", for me it's always been the default game. It's a good hardmode. Still quality game, especially the BOTP campaigns are still challenging. Also the menu/orc mission description music is beyond epic.

Really hope these games sell well. It will tell blizzard people not only like the old games, but we want a warcraft 2 movie! The first one was okay, but if they made a sequel we get to see gnomes, elves, trolls, ogres, dwarves and goblins all in action! Throw in that warcraft 2 intro recreated in thr movie and im sold!

They could of made the game into a movie and later on when the retcon's start to appear in the later movies (if they get past wow wotlk movies) they can work it in as new information nobody knew about. For example: We thought the orcs were the bad guys and they mostly were; so we and the alliance are made to think that. Later in another movie we find out with the alliance that there are some orcs that aren't evil. If it's a fantasy story, you can write around anything. You don't need to retcon ahead, just reveal it later like the games did. I had no idea of the void lords back in cata or when I first played warcraft 2; so don't put it in unil it's needed :D

Ohh the memories. WarCraft 2 was the very first game that I spent money on. 90 German Marks if I remember right (yes, there was a time before the Euro!). I was playing on my Dad's computer with highly restricted screen time. The next purchase was something called a "Soundcard". It's a mysterious object when put into a computer can cause it to make sounds. Sounds like "Zug Zug" or "Stop poking me" Finished Tides of Darkness (is that where ToD got his name from?) but didn't get past level 3/4 in BtdP ... never got the meaning of "economy": 3/4 peons on the gold line should really be enough shouldn't it ... and while I was thinking it I got steam rolled. Let's see if I can do better now :)

You should've made a bunch of Magi with Polymorph and Blizzard. You can just turn those dragons to sheep and simply rain down destruction upon the enemy fortifications. Add to the mix a couple of ballistae and you should be able to destroy anything. And pallies naturally to deal with Death Knights and for healing.

Man... i have so many memories of this game. Absolutely incredible in its day. i listen to the OST to this day. IMO blizzard should import all the old warcraft games and SC1 original into the SC2 engine and just have all RTS in a single universal engine. just sayin. older games were hard

bruh if you want intensity try 'Bgh no air'. those were the most intense times of my wc2 life. there are probably zero players left though for that map. there were good players back in the day though -- around 2002.

I know it's 3 years old video but dude, use catapults or mages to deal with enemy bases. It's not WC3 where u just attack+move everything on your way... I mean you can do it in WC2 but on late missions you might run out of gold with that strategy :P

What a difference the user interface makes. WarCraft III's unit selection limit wasn't that much higher (12 units instead of 9), but the way everything moved in WarCraft II was so much more clunky. REALLY BAD pathing -- good luck trying to Maynard Peasants/Peons from one base to a new distant base -- the idiots would get stuck or even start chopping wood along the way over. By the way, WarCraft II does have Hold Position, but the command is called Stand Ground (hotkey T), and the icon for it isn't very intuitive.
