42:07 it's actually safer to take the Undercity's zeppelin than the Org's because it spawns in the north and you can just jump down (make sure not to land on the islands) and swim to Deadmines. You can avoid the murlocs that way.

A good habbit as a tank, but generally for any class, is to "strafe" when kiting mobs like in 8:03. You want to face them while moving sideways, this way you won't get dazed and still have all your defenses working. Sometimes you need to walk more of a sleight curve to make it work but you will get the feel after a while. Check the settings to have 'A' and 'D' rebound to strafe instead of turn to make it easier.

Would like to point out how you should be doing pre-pull if you want to do prepull (like what u did on Verdan the Everliving). 1. Cast Regrowth 2. Immediately follow up with Rejuvenation 3. Enter Bear Form ASAP 4. Engage Boss ASAP 5. Use Enrage. This ensures that you've as much hots on your self as possible with you as the source of these hots. Healing generates threat (50% of the amount healed spread evenly amongs all hostile targets. Overhealing generates 0 threat) and actively generating resources also generates threat, such as drinking a mana potion or using Enrage to gain more Rage. So you effectively have 3 "passive" sources of of threat generation this way and gain as much as possible from it. The - armor from Enrage can seem scary, but also keep in mind that the more damage you take, the more rage you generate. And considering the amount of HP you already have, combined with the high armor amount, you're more than safe still :) Enjoyed seeing you tank the dungeon! Keep going Grubby! (PS: Loved the Shaman tank dude, Shaman Tank = Best leveling tank)

This is a good break down. You can also add a faerie fire or moon fire before u swap to bear form. I only really do this full pre-hoting on tough fights/bosses and will just rejuv myself on easier fights to keep things moving quicker.

@Grubby Feral cherge is the best bear ability, and you should take that talent ASAP after cat speed, especially if you plan in tanking dungeons during levelling. However, bear charge cost rage (it is not like warriors, which gives rage... keep that in mind. I'd said it's more like intercept), but it can be used in combat.. OP gap closer. It would only, maybe, delay one talent in the further rankes by 1 level. Keep in mind, you can fall, bear form (enrage unless you have furor talent), and charge to avoid fall damage 💔

Totally agree. I have a 60 HC-Druid and Feral-Charge is an absolute no-brainer 1-talent-point-ability. No idea why Sodapoppin would advise against it. Even when not tanking dungeons it can be quite useful but when you tank you should definitely get it. For example if a mob runs away at low health you can charg it and it gets rooted for 4 seconds. Can make the difference between it pulling extra-mobs or not.

If you have not specced into rage generation, there's no way to charge soon after shifting...unless from incoming damage...for leveling I can see a reason to not pick up charge. I don't agree, but there's an argument

Grubby you can't shift change out of hibernation (druid) or scare beast (fear from Hunter). They're both magic effects and can be dispelled, your priest dispelled it just as you were trying to shift out. You can hear the dispel sound and saw the small animation it made. You can only shift out of show and root effects, not stuns or magic. So frost Nova, nets, slows like frost trap but the ticking slow will re-chill you.

Hey grubby, as a bear tank one of the best ways you can generate group threat/aggro is to rejuv or regrowth yourself before going into bear and pulling. It works the same as if a healer is healing you and pulls threat from you.

Soda gave you a cat form DPS all-in type model to go after. You'll discover on your own what type of playstyle that you like. For me, I like healing, and survivability, so I take a lot of talents many people don't while I am leveling. For raids and things like that... That's when I have more of a min/max generic build. Spend some time looking at a talent calculator, to see what they do! Part of the fun of the game for me was exploring different talents and builds to see what I liked & not worry about what other people use.

Taunt makes your threat score equal to the highest person on the table, and prevents the mob from switching target from you for 5 seconds. So if you already have aggro it doesn't generate any more of threat for you. You use it on mobs that have switched targets to someone. But sometimes other abilities will work better because they will not put you at equal threat but actually put you over. 😮

Try to remember to use Enrage more. It's only a 1 min CD so you can use it on almost every pull. It combos well with weaving in and out of Bear Form to pre dot/hot at the start of pulls.

@ I’m going off of in game add ons, but you can actually tweak those to your playstyle so I can’t say for sure that int is better. I just know more int means more spam which is more damage. I’m sure at certain levels agi may be better due to auto shots and crit but usually you don’t fire fast enough and running out of mana every fight can be rough.

interesting how new players learn the game :D just a hint: taunting as a tank puts you directly on the same aggro as the one has, that has aggro. taunting when you have the aggro, has no effect (except for 3 sec security that the mob hits you) so you want to taunt (i think its growl as a druid) and immediately generate more aggro when you aggro before you taunt, its useless. example: your friend has 1000 aggro points, but you have 600 growl brings you up to his 1000 points, but while you taunt your friend keeps generating aggro (you are at 1000, friends maybe with his next abiltity at 1100. -> you taunt -> use any skill that generates more aggro (so you get more than he does) also : aggro radius is different for melee and ranged. ranged need to get 130% of your points to pull aggro of the mob melees only need 110% of your points . example : you have 1000 points, and your rogue friend has 1050 -> mob still attacking you - cause rogue has not more than 110% of yours. if rogue gets like 1200 points, the mob will attack him. while that : ranged has 1200 points but the mob will still attack you. if the ranged has 1400, the mob will switch.

The directional parry/dodge thing is weird. Parries and blocks can only be done from in front. Both for mobs and players. Mobs can dodge from behind however, while players cannot. I also think neither players nor mobs can do any of these things while stunned.

Rummaging through the keybinds, you can find how to enable/disable friendly and enemy nameplates. Somewhere in the settings you can also disable showing names above characters. Search for "name" in the settings, i guess. I'm not sure which addon he's using. It doesn't look like how my "threatplates" addon looks by default. Maybe it is "Plater"?

Yeah, it's good for every melee. It's also great for Warrior leveling as armor is not that relevant on low levels and crit (= agi) is king. The set bonus just makes it even better for Druids. "BiS" loot discussions on low level gear are entirely stupid anyway. It's a good sign what players you should possibly avoid in the future.

Yeah I remember we used to sheep/trap every pull in here. Took absolutely forever but nobody ever got even close to dying. Especially at low levels when nobody has good aoe anyways. It doesn’t make sense to fight multiple targets at once

You lose all your rage everytime you change form. So even tho it is great to pull from afare often, most of the time you don't have any rage to get aggro on mobs. Aggro is VERY important as a tank in this game. Often more important than damage mitigation. Without rage you don't deal damage, so no aggro, so mobs don't attack you, so no rage ^^' I know going full tank can feel logical at first, but it's not (y)

Don't trust Soda blindly 100%. He's a very skilled player mechanically but he's not a great theorycrafter. There are also big differences between optimizing talent builds for leveling vs endgame. Read up on some leveling guides on Wowhead and get some information in your class discord. Then decide for yourself what talents you should or shouldn't pick for what purpose.

Very wrong, leggings of the fang are best for all leather users and strength is fantastic for bear druids. If you are min-maxing, it's best for druid, then rogue, then shaman, then hunter, then warrior. Warrior has good options and should wear mail if possible. The thing about it is that it doesn't really matter that much. It's a level 19 blue and is only considered so amazing because players that want to keep their character at level 19 for battleground pvp can get the best item in every slot possible and put the best enchants on them to become as overpowered as possible and easily beat players with worse gear in pvp. There is a much better pair of leggings from gnomeregan at 28-30 anyway, so if your goal is 60, they are not worth getting very angry about.

Next time you tank, bring good people and avoid having an offtank through the entire run. You're not learning by being carried and once that gap in knowledge hits the fan you'll wipe at higher levels. Please take coaching from someone, you have a few habits that will end up biting you in the butt eventually. Soda should've done his initial coaching with you a bit later when you're not just overwhelmed with the new experience and basic controls. You have a fascinating approach to learning mechanics and picking things apart to study them. Right now a lot of that energy is applied extensively on the wrong details. Another idea could be to watch high level druid tanking on stream with the viewers and pick apart what a veteran player is doing and why. I bet both you and the viewers would enjoy that.
